Late Cambrian’s new single Kin Precipice is officially out! Please check it out, available now on all streaming platforms! The lyrics do mention masks twice so what better footage to overlay for Instagram then the Year of The Horse play we performed in at the @midautumnfest !

Thank you everyone for caring about human made art and music, as we are overrun by technocrat A.I. obsessives that wish to replace everyone with automatons because they were awkward in high school.

Everyone was awkward in high school… some of us turned to art and music to express ourselves and connect with other humans, and apparently some of us turn to machines and try to replace humanity. Late Cambrian loves you (robots can’t love) ❤️ #musiciansofinstagram #guitaristsofinstagram #livemusic

What a core memory to be on the official @midautumnfest lineup for the very first time! 🥹🌕🐉

For those who don’t know our origin story, Kung Flow was actually born on the dance floor at the festival back in 2024, when two of its founders, @saxofshaolin and @supesbase, linked up with @leong.wav, who had performed earlier that day as Color of Rhythm. And the rest is history!

Two years later, we got to bring it full circle.

Huge thanks to everyone who came out, danced, and partied with us! And a special shoutout to @dretegs for capturing the magic and putting together this awesome 🎥!

🌕MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL was my thanksgiving as a child living in Hong Kong. We’d have dinner around the giant round table with my parents, sister, grandparents, uncles, aunties and their friends. After moon cake and fruits (my grandpa was the designated fruit opener specialized in opening durians and cutting up star fruits vertically), we’d bring our lanterns, candles and tin cans to Victoria Park in Causeway Bay to meet up with our friends and play under the roundest moon of the year!

Since I moved to the US in 1999, the Mid-Autumn Fest ritual had been reduced to checking out the moon for a few seconds on my way home from the subway…until 4 years ago, when @fredhua @reetreel @supesbase and @saxofshaolin created @midautumnfest !!!

@latecambrian full band had been performing at the fest every year. This year, we are horses in the play “In The Beginning” by Rita and Fred, performing side by side @planetx.studios with the talented art family Landon, Cadence, Quynh, @hwei.music @mayudance157 and @andrewsunyan

I had such a blast at this 12-hour festival! Met interesting friends like @fromkanawithart @meticmusic @jianboforever @jennchanx and @ninetreasurescreamery 🥮🍄

We are starting our own tradition now.

Our performance in horse masks ended up on @whatisnewyork in the weekend roundup. The song is Come To Bed by @latecambrian 🌕🐴 We are trying to get the sun to come down so the moon can shine !

Thank you @elianeyeung for the great clip @midautumnfest @planetx.studios and the art department for creating such beautiful paper mache masks with us by hand @fredhua @reetreel @fromkanawithart @cherihui @king.fruitsnack

OPEN FREQUENCIES at NYC Mid-Autumn Fest 2026

The Nor’easter couldn’t stop us from vibing! We turned a U-Haul into our DJ booth and kept the backyard alive with music, food, games, and dancing in the rain.

@midautumnfest was buzzing with vendors and performances indoors, and outside was a whole different vibe.

Big love to all our curated and walk-in DJs for bringing the sounds, Chris @jnseng_ for co-curating and organizing, and the Moonlite team for reflecting all the local creativities.

Thanks to everyone who came out and shared this rainy & memorable day with us🌝

The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important holidays and celebrations in Chinese culture. The history of the festival dates back now over 3,000 years. Similar festivals are celebrated by other countries in East and Southeast Asia, including Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore for example.

New perspective from a new rope installation!
So happy to have been part of the Mid-Autumn festival, also called the Moon festival, celebrating the new harvest and brightest moon of the year in Asian communities!
I got the opportunity to create a tunnel of red ropes, leading from the inside to the outside, from summer to fall - a new space of transition, showing the way to new doors.

Thank you @midautumnfest, to everyone who was part of it, and everyone who came to the space. Beautiful people and energy ✨️
