lately it’s been the small moments that mean more than I expected. The laughing without overthinking it, the feeling calm for no reason, the not walking on eggshells, the just existing and the allowed to not be okay. I didn’t realize how heavy everything felt before until it didn’t anymore. I’m still figuring things out, still healing, still growing into this version of me, but for the first time in a long time I feel genuinely happy in a quiet, peaceful way. something my dad and Kim have given me space to feel. and I’m loving it.

Brady Wirick texted and said “How far are you from Lexington?” …. 😎

Within hours we had a dog sitter and booked an awesome boutique hotel and plans were set‼️

So often we have to say no due to our crazy schedules when impromptu invites come…

But this time it worked out beautifully and we got some hang time with an amazing family all the way from Idaho🙌🏼

Can’t wait to spend more time with you Brady and Kimberly‼️

Took a little trip to a cabin in the mountains this weekend.

Brady and I attempted to race the Fat pursuit fat bike race this weekend, but missed the start because of closed roads. We made do with a little loop on part of the course.

Today was an EPIC day 🙌🏼😎❤️

Started off with a 6 am strenuous workout (these lungs aren’t used to 4,800 above sea level 😶but glad to get it in)…. But wow that was just to get the blood flowing👊🏼

Thank you @middleaged5150 for opening your home to me and taking me fishing on the infamous South Fork of the Snake River‼️ Caught my first trout today in some of the most beautiful country I’ve ever seen 🙌🏼

There’s a LOT of crazy going on in the world today … but man we are fortunate to still live in this great country of ours 🇺🇸… honestly it make me want to fight to keep it even more👊🏼…

But today … in that boat .. on that river … when that fish hit the net …. All was well with my soul 🙏

What great weather for the Local Groad Challenge with @kait.boyle today! A solid turnout of folks too for the 80-mile Gravel Perimeter and the 40-mile Drictor loops! Around 20 people came for the Drictor Loop and another 30 or so for the Gravel Perimeter.

We all rejoined, shared stories and stoke at @highpointcider afterwards with local cider and homemade tacos in hand!

Thanks to everyone who came out! It was great to see you and share in the experience.

And don't forget about @ridetheangryhorse next weekend, June 5th! Another awesome challenge featuring incredible gravel and scenery too.

I am grateful for my family

If 10 years ago you would have told me that in 10 years my parents would be divorced, remarried, and that I'd have 7 siblings I probably would have laughed at you. It's not exactly the family dynamic that one dreams of having. But it's my family dynamic. I love it so much and I wouldn't trade it for anything!

I am so blessed to have such an amazing father and mother who have raised me to be the man that I am today. I am grateful to have a wonderful stepfather who shows me so much love and does so much for me even though he doesn't "have" to. I am grateful to have amazing grandparents who played a key role in how I turned out. And I'm grateful for my siblings who double as my best friends.

Sometimes in life the most beautiful things are so beautiful because of all the hardships and trials it took to get there. And so is the case with my family. Some days, months, even years were very hard. But I am so thankful for the family(ies) that I have in my life. I love you all so much! ❤️
