Back in high school if you told me that I would go on to march with the Crossmen and eventually age out with them I totally would not believe you. But here I am. Although we did not get the results we want in terms of scores, this season was truly something I would always cherish. I worked my tail off and reached heights I never thought I would reach. I had the time of my life at mass brass and was able to trade for a delta!! (Shoutout @khord.cooksey for the delta) I somehow earned a brass award. I became close with so many people that I now cannot imagine my life without. I got to perform at my college stadium where all my friends and family cheered me on. I got to proudly wear and field the age out cross of one of my closest friends (shoutout to @rachelgavi1023). I was then handed my own age out cross from that very same friend (also huge shoutout to @portercupsmcclellan for sponsoring my age out cross!). I got to walk on the field of Lucas Oil and hold the “Age-Out Class of 2026” sign at the ageout ceremony (which I later proceeded to take home). After all of that my drum corps career is over. To all the staff that I worked with in my drum corps career, thank you for believing in me and helping me grow as a musician and marcher. To everyone I marched with, thank you so much for making all of this possible and for sharing the field with me for my last ever show whether you made it through the season or had to go home cause of an injury. To all of the alumni and former Crossmen members, thank you for marching with me throughout all of these years and showing up to shows to support the Crossmen! To all the baritones, thank you for being such an amazing section that I truly am proud to be an alumni of. Also huge shoutout to my mom for being my biggest supporter! Thank you Crossmen, for molding me into the person I am today.

When all else is gone…

Allentown + Banquet!

Hey so like I’ve been off at war (otherwise known as world class drum corps) for the past two months and now that its end is creeping up, I want to make a post expressing my love for everyone I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and growing close to throughout this time. Today was our banquet, and seeing everyone dressed up enjoying a meal together kind of put into perspective that this group of people really isn’t ever going to all be in the same room together again after this season. They’re right when they say this activity makes lifelong friends. I’m glad to have this wonderful group be my introduction into drum corps. I will be making another post once the season is actually over, but for now, thanks, Crossmen. ❌☠️

I love this corps and I especially love this pit, far too much to try to put it into words and especially not in the caption of an Instagram post

also I've finally gotten to the point where I take more pictures than I can post so go follow the spam @mrowmrow6768 😁

spring training year 3: complete

so extremely grateful i got the opportunity to come back for my 3rd year, it was definitely rough but worth it and i had my ups and downs but i had some amazing friends to get me through this year, and the tanlines are worth it truly, idk what it was but this summer felt weird and different than the past summers i’ve been here, but maybe that is a good thing, I couldn’t have asked for a better 5 weeks of spring training with the best guard and the corps, now it’s time to start tour:)
