Thank you all for coming by. The weather was challenging but we made it work. Thank God everyone who came made it safe and had a good time.

All the love and support has me speechless. Here I am thinking I'm just a guy with a camera, never realizing how much love was standing behind me all along. Sometimes we're so focused on capturing the moment that we forget we're part of one ourselves.

To everyone who has supported, encouraged, and believed in me... 🙂‍↕️thank you. I see it now, and I don't take it for granted.

What an unforgettable day‼️

Despite the extremely heavy and wicked rain, so many of you still came out to support the first-ever Rhythm on Wheels: The Culture of Roller Skating event. Your presence, enthusiasm and love for roller skating meant more than words can express. Seeing families, longtime skaters, first-time skaters, and members of the community come together reminded me exactly why I wanted to create this event.

A very special thank you to the Miller Branch Library and the Jersey City Free Public Library for believing in my vision and giving me the opportunity to bring this program to life. As someone who works for the library, it was truly an honor to organize and coordinate our very first roller skating event and share the rich history and culture of skating with the community.

Thank you to Pershing Field Charlie Heger Rink for providing such an incredible venue to host this event. It was the perfect place to celebrate the history, music, movement, and community that make roller skating so special.

A huge thank you to Kurby Brown, @imagesbykurby for sharing his knowledge and history of the NJ/NY skate culture, to Brother Ayoni, @dj_hoody_007 for providing an amazing soundtrack, and to everyone who volunteered, participated, took photos, skated, and helped make the day a success.

This event showed that even heavy rain can't stop a community that's passionate about roller skating. Seriously!!! You guys really drove through DEEP FLOODS to be there.

This was only the beginning. Here's to many more opportunities to preserve our history, build our community, and keep the culture rolling.
