Dear Club Members, Volunteers & Supporters
You have all earned a well deserved rest over the Christmas Break! I would like to say a Big Thank You and well done to all our members, volunteers & supporters for all the hard work and support shown this half of the season.

The 2017/18 season has seen the club move out of the Merit Leagues and into the RFU leagues for the first time in its history. This has been a big step for the club but a much needed move to give the club that competiveness that it has been hungering for each year since its formation in 2012.
The 2017/18 season has also seen a well deserved promotion for the 2ndXV into the Herts Middlesex Merit Table 5 who have continued to show that Finsbury Park RFC is not a club to be underestimated at any level. It has also been a personal honour andprivilege to share the field with the 2ndXV to see their passion and team spirit first hand.

I would like to say a Big Thank You to Gareth Chapman who has taken the reins of Head Coach this season and for giving up his time to give both team’s guidance and goals to aim for this season, he has been doing a fantastic job.
Let us go into 2018 the way we are leaving 2017, let’s make this another winning season for the club with some more big achievements for 2018. Well done to all the players who are regularly attending training and showing all your hard work on the field.

We start the New Year hitting the ground running with 2 games playing on the 6th January, training starts Thursday 4th January. For all the players who can’t make training regularly but still want to represent the club please keep in contact and let us know if you are available via the website.

I would also like to Thank the Managing Committee for all their hard work behind the scene making sure everything runs without a hitch, all the lads do give up a lot of their own time to keep everything running.
A big thank you to our club sponsors @thetwelvepins for their continued support, @thejoshcarrickfoundation , with whom we ran the movember campaign, and a Thank you to @mckone_osteopath for keeping our lads safe on the pitch side.

Merry Xmas & Happy New Year
Sean Burke
Club President
