POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

CHAPTER 1: “12 YEARS LATER”

The summer before I started college, I did a Euro trip with five of my best friends. I was on the cusp of moving to New York with one of them, Nils, and before our big NY adventure even began, we got to travel Europe together.

This summer we returned to Italy, the decade behind us, and Nils moving away from New York at the end of our trip.

Of course I felt a bit wistful at this closing of an era. But what a privilege to get to book-end it in such style, with not one but two of my best friends in the world, plus their partners who are JBFs (Jun-best-friends) in their own right.

So here are some pics from the beginning of my Euro trip 2. Soon, they too will become old photographs and (insert Charlie’s speech from Perks of Being a Wallflower).

This is just 1 / 6 of my posts ha. So I will keep the rest of my powder dry and end with a moment I cherish: me and my four recently married friends, drunk off butcher shop rose, night-walking down a Puglia country road with just our phone-lights and our love 🔦❤️‍🔥 Nils, Celine, Adam, Rachel, Jun, in July 2026 — VENICE / PUGLIA.

back at sleepwalk for a really special night. from hanging with @wxxl in tokyo, to meeting @midi.neutron at a house show and finding out that he had one of my aunties as a teacher during his time in tokyo, to seeing my 東久留米 baby bestie of 25+ years @na.she_ work on their upcoming album -- all while resonating with each others frustrations and hopes for the world around us -- im grateful to have friendships on these levels.

@wxxl is gonna be opening the night, @midi.neutron and i will be improvising in the electronic realm and @na.she_ is closing out the night with songs from their upcoming album (!!!) friends are the sun.
