2 MONTHS OF BAKED BY NATALIE ❤️

It’s officially been 2 months since opening BAKED BY NATALIE and honestly when I look back at everything that’s happened, I can’t quite believe how far we’ve come already! 🥹

I thought it was about time I shared a little glimpse into what life has looked like behind the scenes these last few months, because so much has happened in such a short space of time! From big life changes and exciting milestones to building a little business that I’m so proud of, it’s been a whirlwind in the best possible way!

She’s alive! And back on the road!
Thanks to @forgedperformanceuk for the insanely quick turn around on engine swapping and all the additional work squeezed in too!

I genuinely didn’t think I’d ever own this car again.
I sold it.
Nearly two years went by.
The engine died.
I got a message asking if I wanted it back.
And somehow here we are, putting another 2ZZ in it.
It’s already turned into far more of a project than I expected, but I’m actually really enjoying watching this old thing slowly come back together 🫶🏻

We bought the Celica back, the easy bit should be getting it back right? WRONG.
First problem of the day, crafter just wouldn’t start. I think this was our sign to just go back to bed. Also if anyone knows a mobile auto electrician let me know! But we made it eventually to the Celica and the bloody thing won’t move! Before anyone asks, yes the handbrake was off 😅
Turned the engine over and the rod knock was absolutely horrendous, tried every gear, hit the calliper with a hammer a few times too. Still nope, calliper off and that wheel was completely seized. So Tom had to drive the celica down the street with one wheel completely locked and Ofcourse a tony bolt managed to be in the tyre scrapping a lovely line all the way down the drive way and street 🫣
Watching the Celica screeching and knocking its tits off looking like it was actively trying to kill itself before being back in my ownership was one of the funniest things I’ve witnessed. I was absolutely pissing.
And then as it’s going onto the ramp, POP and the wheel is working now. thank, fuck!!
Next problem, too low so we had to hold the bumper up while being driven, tom gets stuck in the celica as the doors wont open so climbs out the rear like the celica has birthed him. And THEN the v5 was still in the glove box!
@firefoxf7 thank you so much for recovering the Celica and putting up with its bullshit! You have the patience of a saint. It was a pleasure to meet you and hear all about your insane Mitsubishi Colt build!
Then it arrived at @forgedperformanceuk ready for the engine swap and repairs to be done!

Actually loving all of the chaos it’s bringing already and I’ll try and do an update every other day to document it all!

So after approximately a year and a half after i abandoned this account, sold the celica, started driving a very grown up car and moving on with my life …

I somehow ended up with the exact same Celica on my driveway so here’s what happened!
Sold the car
Engine died
New owner asked me if I wanted to purchase said car and me being a completely rational financially responsible adult with a mortgage to pay for, I said yes.
Found an engine.
Found the amazing guys at @forgedperformanceuk brave enough to do the engine swap for me.
Annnnd now we’re here, ready for round two with the celica 😅
So you might be seeing more of me on here now getting it back on the road and setting car alarms off from the absolutely obnoxious exhaust it still has 😇🫶🏻

The v5 hasn’t even come through yet and the new memories we have made with it just getting the shell and the engine to the unit has been hilarious. Causing drama as always, wheel bearing seizing and it doing a one wheel peel all the way down the street and then selling some merch out the back of the van to complete strangers we picked the engine from. Chatting absolute shite to Chris and Jason at the unit catching up with them and bumping into people in the middle of nowhere on the way.

So all in all, I’m very excited to make more memories with this car!
