I’m so grateful for the amazing editors I’ve met along the way. Although most of us work alone, we’re never far away from an email, message, text, or video call.

We do things differently, but we share what we have with each other. (Quote from Stephen Covey)

The best thing I did when I started my editing adventure was join @editors_calgary @editorscanada 🤓😊

Thank you to all the editors out there who have answered an email, replied to a message, or left a comment. I love this community!! 🥰

Big milestone alert!
I’ve officially sent my manuscript off to the first of my dream team editors.
Cue the nerves, the excitement… and the obsessive email-refreshing.
This story has lived in my heart for a long time—and now it’s one step closer to landing in yours. Thank you Leila @midnightdevotionediting I’m so excited and lucky to be working with you and know you’ll help bring this book to the next level!
Stay tuned.

Last weekend, we had an amazing editors retreat weekend in Tennessee! It was so much fun with both work and play happening. This wonderful group of editors met in Editorial Arts Academy’s Developmental Editing for Fiction class with Pat Dobie back at the start of 2023. We’ve met almost every month since on Zoom as a support group for our editing businesses. Finally, we had our meetup in person! It felt like we’d known each other for so long, and everyone was so understanding and helpful! We had lots of laughs, serious discussions, and many shared stories. Definitely lifelong friendships right there.

If you can find a support group, whether it’s through a writers group, editors group, book club, etc, you’ll be set! I couldn’t have asked for a better group of ladies to spend the weekend with!

Thanks to @editorialartsacademy @robinsparrow @patdobie for bringing us together!! We are forever grateful!
