I don’t even know how to put into words what this award means to me. To be recognized as *Artista Más Chingona* feels like a reminder that the things I create from my heart, the pieces of myself I pour into my art, and the stories I tell through my work are being seen. And that is such a powerful feeling.

Thank you to the person who nominated me. You may not even realize how much it means to be seen, believed in, and celebrated in this way. Sometimes we get so caught up in creating, surviving, growing, and figuring it all out that we forget to stop and recognize how far we’ve come. Thank you for giving me a moment to do that.

My art is a piece of me. It holds my grief, my healing, my culture, my motherhood, my softness, my anger, my love, and all the beautiful, messy things that make me who I am. I create because I feel deeply, because life is complicated, and because sometimes a paintbrush can say what words never could.

To be called *chingona*? To me, that means being powerful without having to apologize for it. It means being soft and strong, making space for yourself, taking up room, and creating something beautiful even when life hasn’t always been beautiful to you.

I am so damn proud to be here. Proud of my art, proud of where I come from, and proud of the woman I am becoming.
