POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Working with photography and video for the incredible team at YMCA DownsLink Group is pure joy. Not only do I get to see my photos as large-scale prints, but knowing the work helps both an essential organisation and young people grow is truly rewarding.

I always try to offer residents in the supported housing a quick personal portrait. Some haven’t had a portrait taken since old school photos. It’s an opportunity to see themselves in a new light, and these shots often end up on the covers of publications and banners—how empowering for a young person!

The goal is to build a rich visual library showcasing everything YMCA DownsLink Group delivers: safe homes, mental health support, trusted advice.

YMCA DownsLink Group Head of Fundraising and Communications Debbie Watkins said:

“Authentic photography and video help us tell our story in a way that feels real, and having a growing photo library that reflects the breadth of our work is invaluable.

“Mi is a pleasure to work with. She’s creative and considerate of our young people. She captures some lovely photos which help our organisation share powerful stories and professional news and imagery throughout the year.”

The extra little sugar-coated moments that keep you going...

We’ll take the virtual pat on the back, but the real credit goes to those of you who looked into the camera, pushed past your fears and allowed yourself to finally show up 💕

You are confident in your work, but when it comes to sharing it on social media, you freeze and put it off for another week.

Client delivery takes up all your time, and by the end of the day, there is simply no creative energy left to market your own business. Content slips to the bottom of the pile. You stare at a blank screen, wondering what to say and trying to make every single decision on your own.

It is exhausting, and it is far too quiet.

We do not have to do this autumn in isolation.

The WIZ builds your confidence, protects your time, and gives you the routine and room of clever women to get the work done:

💛 Protected writing time: 90 minutes on the first Monday of each month. Inspiration, quiet focus, and immediate feedback—so your content is completed before you log off.

💛 Mastermind breakouts: Small, confidential groups on the third Monday to untangle bottlenecks, test fresh ideas, and get unstuck together.

💛 Weekly inspiration: Practical prompts straight to your inbox so you always know what to say.

💛 Community support: A generous circle of women who hold you gently accountable and cheer you on every step of the way.

Visibility feels completely different when you are backed by the right room.

We kick off with our group introduction next Monday 21 September (12:00 – 13:00 UK time).

YOU DON’T NEED MORE HUSTLE. YOU NEED DEDICATED TIME.

Are you a woman with deep expertise and passion for what you do, but uncomfortable with self-promotion? Are you feeling overwhelmed by client work and not taking the time to create content—even though you know your business growth relies on being visible online?

The WIZ is a small, supportive group with two monthly live sessions: one focused writing session and one mastermind session.

You also get ongoing coaching, weekly inspiring social media ideas, and access to a fabulously supportive group of women ready to step forward and grow together with clarity, confidence, and joy.
