🌿 We had a brilliant time supporting the Biodiversity Open Day at @ditchley.park on Saturday!

It was great to chat with so many local people about the work of the Cluster and the farms within it, and how we’re all working together to support biodiversity and nature recovery across the landscape.

Visitors enjoyed a beautiful walk through the estate and woodlands, with interactive activities along the way that brought biodiversity to life. From pollinators and plants to wildlife and even the incredible world of microbes beneath our feet, there was something for everyone to discover.

Congratulations to everyone at Ditchley for putting together such a fantastic event. Days like this are a great way to bring communities closer to the countryside, inspire the next generation, and show just how important nature is to the future of farming.

And we can’t finish without mentioning the amazing venison sausages at the end – the perfect reward after a woodland walk! 🌭🌳

Leadership is balance. Not control.

I had the privilege of attending a Leadership Training with Sensei Zen Takai @thezensamurai .

I arrived to find inspiration and left with a completely different understanding of leadership, discipline and purpose.

What impressed me most was that the Samurai Way is not about fighting others.

It is about mastering yourself.

𝐓𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟.

Throughout the retreat we explored principles that apply just as much to business and investing as they do to everyday life.

𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫.

Great leaders create harmony instead of conflict.
 They communicate with clarity and intention.
 And they know when to let go, trust others and allow them to grow.

Beyond all the lessons, one of the greatest gifts was meeting so many inspiring people from around the world.

I returned home with a renewed sense of purpose, new friendships and a strong desire to continue this journey.

A heartfelt thank you to Sensei Zen Takai, Junko and everyone who made this unforgettable experience possible.

Sometimes the most valuable investment isn’t in markets.

It’s in your own character.

At last week’s @visions.for.the.future award ceremony in London, we were delighted to offer the prize of an oak sapling to our winners. These were kindly provided by Benedict Pollard of @mightyfineoaks - a specialist tree nursery raising and selling ‘pedigree’ oaks grown from acorns gathered from many of the oldest, most iconic and characterful oaks of Britain.

Benedict has planted nearly 150 of his oak trees @broughtonsanctuary, bringing people together in celebration of the beauty of life.

If you are interested in planting one of Benedict’s trees drop him a line… and if you don’t have your own space, Broughton will provide the land!

We were very thankful to our friends at Kingshott School, Hitchin @kingshottschool for giving a forever home to 3 little oaklings. They invited us to join their tree-planting project on the school grounds. These projects are such a lovely way to get trees and people together.

Fascinating visit to @mightyfineoaks nursery -run by Benedict Pollard- who specializes in propagating oaks from acorns specially selected from named and ancient/heritage native oaks- we so enjoyed seeing the “Oaklings” of all stages- from screened propagation beds, to young saplings, up to larger, potted trees. Thank you, Benedict, for taking time to show us around and also meet us @realfarmed for a delicious lunch!

A reflection on an awesome and inspiring week @visions_for_the_future_ retreat at @broughtonsanctuary in Yorkshire.

I was particularly inspired by the rewilding talks from the team at Broughton, who have been dedicated to their rewilding projects. @deliciously_nella and @rewildingdriver showcased incredible passion and shared the transformational results over the past five years. And Alister Scott with his dedication to the Global Rewilding Alliance.

@thelandgardeners talk on the importance of soil and compost were also an instrumental addition and 2 ladies who I have aspired to over the years!

@nikkitrott was a true inspiration and powerhouse during her talk on her new book @sacredbusiness. I cannot wait to delve deeper into this area.

@BruceParryTribe, your fireside talk about your experiences living with tribes such as the Panga was both eye-opening and deeply resonant. As someone who studied anthropology, I often feel that if Western society hadn’t influenced me to stay here for societal reasons, I would have loved to study and live with tribes myself!

🧚🏼 @therealcharlottechurch and @kesha, alongside @drguyhayward and the incredible folk music band from @deadpagesband all sang inside the 1000 year old church. Magical ✨  Thank you @edolver, @rogerhtempest and @sacredheartalchemy for bringing us all together and holding such a sacred space, along with the wonderful team at @broughtonsanctuary - and unbelievable food, thanks to @yorkshirenourishment, with organic, healthy and utterly delicious, fulfilling fresh locally sourced food!
 Loved meeting so many of you, with so many conversations and new relationships to follow.

Tsushima Island — The Way of the Samurai

The most simple yet profoundly transformative experience.
In Tsushima, nature remains untouched , pristine, alive shaping water, rocks, trees, leaves, wind, and sound into one living frequency. I became that nature. I surrendered completely, touching something ancient within me a remembrance beyond words.

Through sound, movement, and practice, we honored each element earth, water, fire, air, and sky.
By connecting and surrendering to them, the body began to remember….
Earth grounded us in stillness and strength.
Water taught fluidity and emotional grace.
Fire awakened presence and vitality.
Air expanded breath and perception.
Sky dissolved boundaries into pure awareness.
Balance returned as nature within and nature around became one dance.

Our Samurai teacher embodied the Zen way revealing how the dance between the masculine and feminine is constantly present in every breath, every movement.
He showed us that in creation, in movement, there is paradox, and by embracing it, harmony arises effortlessly.
Through the “tanden” the center we touched infinity through the body, through awareness, through humility. His simplicity, generosity, and embodiment touched me deeply.

Each person carried a unique frequency, and together we felt like one whole being held, alive, and in love with life.

Thanks to each one of you for your presence, wisdom, play, and love, I hold you dear in my heart.
Thank you @cristomillar and @unbridledfemininity for holding this journey with such sacredness and beauty.
Thank you @cristomillar for capturing the essence of it all.
My heartfelt gratitude @thezensamurai for keeping the way of the Samurai and Ninja alive and reminding us of the simplicity, honor, and beauty through which life can be lived and remembered.

Konnichiwa, checking in here from Osaka on my last day before flying back to Europe. It took me some time to find the proper words to describe the 8 days of Samurai fundamentals training last that ended last week. I’ll do a first attempt here, but will definitely be sharing more, as this is here to stay 🔱
One of the most profound experiences I’ve been immersed in, cultivating intuition, sharpening our senses and learning about embodied energetics. All of that whilst being immersed in the most beautiful natural training environment at Tsushima island 🌿Thank you @thezensamurai for sharing your wisdom, combining movement, breath and stillness to bring us into the empty space, a place where paradoxically everything is possible, and thank you to all of you have co-created this experience 🙏🏻⚔️🥷🏽
