“For I was cold and you clothed me…” (Matthew 25:36)

Family, God has done something beautiful through us this season. Through your giving and service, we delivered:

• 58 coats to S. Weir Mitchell Elementary School
• 20 coats to Children’s Space Learning Academy
• 7 additional coats to a local family in need

That’s 85 lives covered in love, warmth, and compassion this winter.

This is the gospel in action.
This is The Well being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Thank you for giving. Thank you for serving. Thank you for loving.

Let’s continue pouring into our community — one life at a time.

Students in our CREATE After School Program have been exploring self-expression through clay and three-dimensional art. Working with clay can be highly therapeutic, and we have seen how this hands-on creativity helps our youth decompress after a busy and stimulating school day. Their focus, imagination, and sense of calm truly shine through their creations.

Enrolling youth is simple. Complete the registration form, choose the program that best fits your child’s interests, and join the CREATE community. Our team will guide you through the final steps and ensure you feel supported every step of the way.

As we round out the school year we wanted to give a huge THANK YOU to all the incredible schools in the School District of Philadelphia partnering with Playworks this year! 👏🏽 Your dedication to creating safe, supportive, and active play environments has helped students build stronger connections, grow their confidence, and have so much fun along the way.

Thank you for being champions of play—we couldn’t do it without you! 🙌🏽
Have an awesome, well-deserved summer! 😎☀️🏖️

Peer2You wrapped up the school year at Weir with a meaningful close to our Peer Talks sessions — celebrating with food, games, and connection. More than just a sendoff, this moment honored the trust and growth we’ve built with students through open dialogue, mentorship, and life skill development.

As part of our gun violence prevention and intervention efforts, Peer2You meets youth where they are — in their schools, homes, and communities — to create safe spaces that promote healing, leadership, and empowerment.

Thursday, February 27, 2025 - “Career Day” - Mitchell Elementary School - 5500 Kingsessing Avenue, Southwest Philadelphia

The Pope of Pugilism & Duval Harvin, Firefighter, Philadelphia Fire Department.

Listen folks, it was truly an honor to be a speaker at today’s Career Day.

There were professionals from all walks of life as shown in the second picture.

It was great teaming with Duval Harvin, The Greatest Firefighter on the Planet - the doppelgänger for my good friend and Jamaican brother - Boxing Trainer - Ronnie “Madd Mitts” McCoy @maddmittsmccoy

We were a great team - Super Bowl LIV Most Valuable Player - Jalen Hurts and wide-receiver AJ Brown - moving from classroom to classroom telling our stories, asking and answering questions – being relatable and interchangeable.

Hopefully, the young people understood that everything is possible, follow your passion, be 100% accountable, have an attitude of gratitude and the time is now!

It was a great day!

Students at @mightymitchellheroes spent the afternoon engaging with Peer2You staff through our "Peer Talks" workshop.

They created "All About Me" posters with their classmates and participated in a Cause and Effect game, sparking meaningful discussions about how their choices and experiences, including those related to gun violence, impact their lives and communities.

Okay fam… this is a good one! So tonight I went to a cultivation event for the fabulous HopeBoykinDance hosted by The Joyce and one of the guests happened to be this gentleman Ray Smith who I’ve known for years through the same cardio dance class we used to take at NYSports Club. Over dinner, we discovered we both are not just from Philly, but from SW Philly… very distinct….and WAIT FOR IT…. not only did he grow up a few blocks from where I grew up and where my Mom still lives, we attended the same elementary school!!!! I was floored!!!!! He went on to live in NYC and worked as company and tour manager with the renowned Noche Flamenca before landing a gig as a writer and producer at NBC news!! Incredible!! What a world…what a community! And yes we both happened to be wearing red and double yaaaas for his nails!!!! 💜💜💜

✨#ASAPChess kids light up the National stage

Masterman team captain on his experience at the K-12 Nationals in Washington D.C.: “I wish I had won that last game, especially since I went from brilliancy to blunder so quickly and that would have gotten me a tie for first place. All things considered,
Masterman as a team did great and I am really happy for us. I am really proud of both myself and the team as a whole. I am excited to go back next year.”
