Hyelni Jummai Hamman my first best friend, my boys second mom, my only sister. How do I express who you are to the world? You were the first born, the one we looked to for direction, the glue of the family. What are we to do without you Hyelni?
I talked to you everyday sometimes multiple times a day and heard about it when I missed your call. You had to talk to your boys every single day, their Aunty Nana who would talk them through their meals, sing songs to them, make them laugh, play baby shark on her phone when mum is being mean or sturbborn. You were the light of our home, the princess, the beautiful one but you were also the strong one. I saw you battle with this illness all your life with so much strength and Grace I couldn’t understand. You were also extremely headstrong and could keep malice like no other person I know 😂 but you loved so fiercely and everyone in your bubble felt that love so strongly.
O Hyelni, how are we to go one without you? Who would bug me with calls multiple times a day until I pick up? Who would keep Bundi on the right path, mummy and daddy’s right hand man (lady lol).
You will continue to shine bright in our lives Hyelni, your name meant exactly what you are. You are God’s gift to us and you will never be forgotten. Your boys will always remember your name.....Shine bright my darling. We never knew you would get to Age 33 but I always hoped you would be here so much longer because our lives were much brighter with you in it. I love you so much big sis, I hope you are smiling down on us from Heaven with a smile on your face, watching over us.
2020 gave us a big punch in the last hours but we will be strong for you in 2021.
I watched a video yesterday that said grief is an expression of love and a way to give value to someone or something we loved dearly so this is a short story of your awesomeness so others can see that you were our star that can never be hidden. Lord help me and my family to grieve well in this season.
