Emotional post for me to make as two of my mentors turned friends/colleagues set off on their next chapters. Thank you both for taking me on and taking a chance on me as a grad student 4 years ago. Thank you for always believing in me, pouring into me, and helping shape who I am as an Athletic Trainer. My career wouldn’t be the same without you two moulding me. Thank you for always picking up the phone when I needed someone to bounce ideas off of. Thank you for letting me vent. Thank you for giving OCU a special place in my heart, as that’s where I fell in love with the sport of soccer. Thank you for being two of my best friends. Good luck to you both as you take on Waco and the DR! I just know you’ll accomplish great things! I’ll miss you both, and I love you endlessly 💙💙💙

First semester of sophomore year done! I’m so happy with the decision I made to come here and play with these amazing girls and playing for some great coaches! I love all of the friendships and memories I’ve made so far and can’t wait to make so many more!

things I learned at 2022 nattys:
-Alex has the fastest screenshot fingers I have ever seen. Forever terrified of her now
-Alicia will always tell me when she’s mad at me with a smile :)
-Kenzie is totally okay with me tackling her after routines
-Sydney is one of the most giving and caring people I have ever met
-I can, in fact, tolerate Jordan for long periods of time (ily)
-If I cannot keep it together, Mikayla will do it for me
-Never forget your shin sleeves unless you want to have a breakdown
-Finally, the outcome you want may not be the one you get, but it’s up to you to decide how you want to go out💗

Thank you volleyball.

Thank you for helping me find my place in life. Thank you for offering an escape, a safe place for me to go to every day. For giving me the best friends, strongest supporters, and coolest role models. Thank you for giving me a sense of purpose as a young girl. For helping me understand the power of a team. For teaching me how to be a leader, a supportive teammate, a better friend, and a stronger woman. Thank you for helping me believe in myself, to prove others wrong, and to push myself to become better every day. I learned to not let outside voices take away my love for the game. Thank you for giving me the confidence I never thought I had. And most of all, thank you for showing me that volleyball is so much more than a game.

Thank you to everyone who pushed me to success. My parents, past teammates, coaches, trainers (shoutout @built4itathletics), & athletic trainers, thank you for making me into the best version of myself. If you would have given me a preview of my college volleyball career in high school, I would have never believed you. My 4 years at OCU were more than I could have ever asked for. They have been by far the toughest four years of my life, but in turn, the most rewarding.

To my fellow seniors: I am so proud of everything we accomplished together. I would not have made it through these 4 years without each of you by my side. I’m sorry we didn’t get the ending we wanted, but we’re still leaving a lasting legacy on OCU volleyball. Y’all are my inspiration & I love you all so much.

To my underclassmen & future OCU volleyball players: don’t take a second of this for granted. Catch yourself when you’re complaining about 6am practices, or weights, or long, hot bus rides. It all goes by too fast, and when it’s over, it hits harder than you would have ever expected, trust me. It’s okay to find yourself frustrated, confused, or even angry. But appreciate the highs and the lows. They’re going to make you who you are. Find joy in both the cheers and the tears. If you savor the little moments, maybe it’ll last just a little while longer.

Thank you for everything, volleyball. Onto new things. #10 out

Trying to find a reason to be thankful and grateful right now.. and here are a few. These girls. This softball team. These preceptors. Glad I got to watch the girls I’ve been working with all semester beat USAO in the conference championship game! Thanks for the best semester of my life. Now let’s get me graduated. 🤩💙✌🏼
