Best birthday ever! Spent day with my two fave beings on the planet (@jesikafarkasdesign and @princelucapalomino ) roaming the beautiful gardens and hiking the woods of Clermont, ate an amazing lunch at @giobatta.tivoli followed by @fortunesicecream , and capped the day with a fantastic evening surrounded by some of my dearest friends at @casasusannacamptown ! Full of gratitude this morning for another year of living in this beautiful place with such a precious circle of loving friends around me. Daily time in nature, good food, a good dog, and good friends = a good life! 52! LFG!

Hi,
I wanted to contribute some personal thoughts about the “Making Eveningside” short that is coming out in support of Eveningside, Gregory Crewdson’s latest body of work. Here's some bullet points.
- This is, in addition to an atmospheric inside look, an ode to the hands that materialized these pictures.
My turn to work hard to make YOU look good for once.
- The video is choreographed like an improvisational dance piece set to the musical stylings of James Murphy and Stuart Bogie.
- Over the past year I've studied my fellow crew members through the footage, many of whom I’ve known since I was 15. Giants to me are even more mythical, and closer...and smaller at the same time, versions live in the timelines and hard drives.
- I grew up in Pittsfield, its always been interesting seeing the familiar places become unfamiliar in Gregory's pictures, real becoming staged. And more importantly: vice versa. The flesh and blood crew has became art to me too.
- There is a Morningside and an Eveningside in Pittsfield, they are neighborhoods for which the body of work is named. I struggle with mental health, left and right brain, the alone one, and the one when I come up for air etc. The staged and the accidental. I edited a dual screen video. Two timelines at once. This made the most sense to me as a creator, and to deliver on the job I was asked to do. It is designed primarily as a video installation to accompany the series. When you see it all together I hope you enjoy it, that it’s meditative and transporting. I hope it makes you feel some type of way about the crew like I do. And that it lets you fall even deeper into the pictures.

@fleetwoodglantz was the first one on set and the last to leave every day throughout the Eveningside production, capturing the intricate behind the scenes details of Gregory Crewdson: Eveningside, shot in Pittsfield, Adams, and North Adams, MA in the fall of 2021. The resulting 20 minute atmospheric film MAKING EVENINGSIDE, is set to original music “Eveningside” by James Murphy and Stuart Bogie. The film will be on view in a state of the art multimedia space adjacent to the galleries in @gallerieditalia where GREGORY CREWDSON: EVENINGSIDE, a major exhibition curated by @jeancharlesvergne, which includes the premiere of Eveningside and a survey spanning ten years of work, will be on view starting October 12 in Turin, Italy.
