Realm Season 5: Guest Chef Edition We are adding a little twist to Realm this year, introducing guest chefs to throw down during Realm. If you’re interested in being a chef and in the kitchen during Realm, shoot me a DM. The first chef kicking things off on April 26th with a day time pop up is Chef @nealp826 , who is bringing his homemade flavorful shawarma wraps. Chef @guwopking1017 is coming through with some bold Mexican Indian flavors. We will serve up family style for the first time at Realm! Chef @mikeblovesyou , a local forager and Realm proclaimed mycologist, brings us local flavors grown in Chicago. Have you ever found morels in your backyard? Chef Mike has, come learn about food and foraging. Chef @iftheshuefitz , a friend of 15+ years, brings her Italian roots to Realm. As she throws down some authentic dishes, hang around for her world famous ooey gooey butter cake. FYI, she made this flyer and so many previous flyers! Look forward to seeing you at Realm one last time!

heads-up: this #tbt is LAYERED😮‍💨 This tracks tho, as it’s on par w the RICH compositions of @kaylamay_art EAC’s first big project with Southside artist Kayla Mahaffey was in 2024, as part of a series of large scale murals @englewoodartscollective stewarded to honor Chicago culture. West loop. House Music started here. @rahmaanstatik played assist & we upgraded @chicagodcase plans by bringing @sugargamers on board to add augmented-reality animations to Kayla’s murals. @frankieknucklesfoundation approved🙌🏾 The result: curated Joy! From that #publicart to now— we tapped Kayla again for “A Fierce History of Now”: a contemporary response to historic MLK photos, reflecting on the 60th anniversary of the Chicago Freedom Movement exhibition. Her ethereal painting is a vibrant vision on 6ft of framed canvas. It’s both a rumination on ancestral legacy and futuristic hope✨ See it in person at @imancentral ‘s gallery on west 63rd st. T–F 10-5pm, but first learn more about EAC’s history of public art impact and more at @chicago_public_art_group in Bridgeport M-F 10-4pm this month✊🏽 We are honored to make history with local phenoms like Kayla! #blackhistorylife

I literally gave birth to my bestest friend in the whole wide galaxy! Even as a toddler @mikeblovesyou and I would go out and laugh and talk and have a blast. Although I don't know where his adventurous streak came from...he is everything that I dreamed and intended for him to be as I was doing my part to love, shape and mold this being that God blessed me with. And he's just getting started! Please join me in praying for a Happy Birthday and many more years of love, health, prosperity, freedom and creativity for my Mighty Mike! Love you, son! #sagittarius #boymom #goodpeople

💗 ReFRAME - The @koneranger Runway Show - this past Saturday during @thechicagofashionweek 2025 was one of THE MOST PERSONABLE and down-to-earth fashion shows I’ve ever been to! Kone and Kevin were at the entrance to greet everyone and thank them for coming. Then I watched them shake hands with their most ardent supporters seated in the front rows. I wish all fashion shows began this way. This - all on top of the fact that their brand is well-made, high-quality, upcycled vintage with streetwear elements. If ever there was a designer I’d want representing Chicago, I would pick Kone Ranger. PLEASE SUPPORT THEM! BUY UPCYCLED! BUY LOCAL! And of course, the cherry 🍒 on top is being able to support and hang out with my amazingly talented and artsy friends: 🕺 @ericbooc made his runway debut and he killed it! ☕️ hung out with artist @willzwey.creatur , musician @eyrikir , artist and entrepreneur @mikeblovesyou , artist @casual_peacock , podcaster and content creator @theharperwells , artist and collector @alzerto8 , and art collector @jamescarnley 🤗 bumped into the amazing stylist @rahelalalala along with Chicago Fashion Week Founder John Leydon. Disclaimer: I was able to steal a hug from Kone 🤗 on my way in, and caught an air kiss 😘 on the way out lol - awww! Never felt so loved and so maybe I’m biased, but we need more love in this world, don’t we? 💕🌍💕 #chicagofashionweek #fashion #chicago

Let’s get into the scientific literature! A lot of brands/influencers tout the benefits of their ingredients but never really bother to breakdown the studies backing their claims in a legible manner. This series is our answer! I know this will be too long for most contemporary attention spans but I see it as a resource that will live here and on our site. 😌☕️🍄 #lionsmane #mushroomchai #mushroomcoffee
