Rocks Under Tide (Short Film) April 2025🩸🎬 @rocksundertide It was an absolute joy to filming this comedy horror short with this lovely bunch back in April 2025. Brad @bholcombe81 and Millie @milliebethgreen first spoke about filming this together in September 2024 so watching it all come to life was incredible. This was our most ambitious film so far in collaboration with @squareeggproductions and it is now doing the festival rounds! 🎉 📸 by @annasarzyniak & @photogemphic Cast: Kate - @nic.lawton James - @lilkevzi Carl - @_cizej Crew: Writer/ Director/ Producer - @bholcombe81 1st AD - @b2tfmedia DOP - @milliebethmedia AC - @annasarzyniak Script Supervisor - @roe.francis_ Gaffer - @lewishooperfilm Production Designer - Kyra Buckley Art Director - @garethmoore.art Sound - @soundsofgee MUA - Becky Burrows Production Assistant - @mikecooperrp BTS - @photogemphic @annasarzyniak Editor - Chelsea Holcombe Music - @matthewjohnpotts 🎶: Horror Instrumental

My favourite photo of us, I may have changed slightly in the intervening years! Anyway, 19 years with this incredible person. Scary how much you can love someone, isn't it. By the way, this photo of me and the lovely Clare was taken 10+ years ago. She's still just as pretty, whereas I need a lot of Photoshop work to look even slightly passable these days!

A couple of weeks back, I got to work on the short film @rocksundertide with an incredibly talented bunch of people, so here is a shameless look at me doing things on set post 😂 It was honestly so much fun, and I learned so much in the two days we spent filming. I got to make props, dress sets, special fx, make tea, of course, squeeze a vase too hard it smashed, fell in love with a spoon and even hid holes in a wall with bone modelling clay, to name a few. Can't wait to see how the films turned out and to get back on set with the film fam. You were all just super to be around 🫶 We had absolutely zero budget for this and was fuelled by our passion to be in this industry. If you can help, there is a gofundme if you click on the @rocksundertide profile or be sure to follow and give us a like to help it out. The industry is still slow, but that ain't stopping us from making our own pathways. What are you saying, fancy getting behind us and helping out a talented film crew @netflixuk @amazonprime @film4 @bbccreative @bbc @bfinetwork @createcentraluk @creativeukwestmidlands @wearecreativeuk @a24 Behind the scenes shots by the incredible @photogemphic & @annasarzyniak 🫶

Allow me to introduce our WEST MIDLANDS based cast and crew! 🎬 It’s a rocky time in the industry, with fewer opportunities available, but that doesn’t mean the creativity stops too! This wonderful bunch of talented industry folk got together this weekend and created something special. The hard work, collaboration and pure magic that they all brought to set produced something far greater than I’d ever expected from the script. 🎥 Representing Birmingham, Coventry, Rugby, Stourport-on-Severn, Dudley and Wolverhampton, this really is a good spread of West Midlands talent. @joelycett would be proud, ay it bab! Meet the Crew! Mike is our Production Assistant. Based in Stourport-on-Severn, from his mid-teens through to his early-20s, he made 13 short films with a group of friends. He was involved in all aspects of production and looks back on this time with great affection, so he can’t wait to get going again, albeit almost 25 years later! #rocksundertide #productionassistant #shortfilm #filmmaking
