It was January and the year I was going to turn 50. As Karl Lagerfeld said and as my bestie @mikedprop reminded me “Youthfulness is about how you live, not when you were born.” So, I decided to put in the work. I started at 240lbs, then dropped to low 230s for a while but hit a wall. I didn’t give up, I kept at it and added to my routine. I discovered intermittent fasting along the way, thanks to Dave @liftsociety and then the pounds started to shed, and thanks to @chadwickmouton and @effys_fitness and everyone at @liftsociety the muscle continued to grow. Today after maybe the best @soulcycle class I have ever had with my twice weekly spin church leader and master instructor @angelamanueldavis I jumped on the scale to see this magic number which I didn’t believe I would see before my birthday. Well hot damn, I should have known better. I can do it and I did it. And the best is, not only am I seeing results on the outside, my cholesterol is perfection and my pre-diabetes warning is no more. I’m walking, no I’m running into 50 with a smile to share, a healthy heart to love, a healthy body to DO. Thank you to all the above, and for anyone who wants to achieve a goal, it’s possible.
