WE WROTE THE STORIES. 🎶🔥 3 days. 30 songs. 20+ @RAMPD_up folk. @ConcordMusicPublishing. @ParamountStudios. And a packed DisCo Wrap Party to close out our LA Songwriting Camp.

Neurodivergent and Disabled people have inherited the stories about ourselves, shaped by stigma, trauma, pity, and limitations, that we didn’t write. To that, I say, nope. No more.

Pop culture is where stories get rewritten, and music shapes pop culture. So we put Disabled and neurodivergent artists, songwriters, and producers in the room with the world’s biggest music publishers and began writing OUR stories, with OUR pen, and OUR voice.

What if these songs place in film, TV, ads, games, and blockbusters? What if millions of people hear Disabled creators telling their own stories, on their own terms? Well, that’s RAMPD, baby! 💯

And it’s exactly why I started it. Not only for consulting and training music/event companies and organizations on access, but bringing real-world, stigma-busting opportunities to Disabled creators out here busting their balls.

No one gave me this opportunity. So I built the organization that would create it. We provided everything from accessible rooms, to quiet areas, to sign language, to fidgets (I brought the fidgets 😁), to travel stipends, mental health/wellness needs through partners, and our signature ‘welcome and liberated’ vibe. We created an accommodation-first crip space camp, like no other, watched new collaborations form and met many new prospective RAMPD Network members!

I’m done waiting to be represented. We’re our here creating the representation.

Thank you to Concord Music Publishing for believing in this vision. To partners @Backline, @Betterhelp, @Nixie, @StageWater, and @musesessions.co. And to every artist, songwriter, producer, collaborator, and supporter who helped make these three days possible:

The story is OURS now. Let’s write it. ✍🏾🎶♿️✨

#RAMPD #DisabilityCulture #RepresentationMatters
