POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It’s taken a while to write this post. Largely because it means so much and we wanted to get it right. Last weekend @grahamwiddicombe took part in his final 4x4 ATV race. Whilst bittersweet, what made it feel right was closing the chapter at an extra special race; The Penland. The team @iatvhss put on a phenomenal event in honor of the quadfather @mikepenland who’s dealing with his own life challenges.

Graham and a host of other 4x4 riders were invited to race in a Legends class. As part of the event the racers shared their stories with younger racers as well as listening to Mike recount his many adventures. What we weren’t expecting was the sheer joy of being back with so many old friends. It was very humbling.

The tiny town of Cainsville, MO opened its doors to us, allowing the whole field of ATVs to parade through the town to the start. Many, including us, got the chance to ride down with their racers which added to the amazing experience. The 14 mile lap crossed 9 farm properties something we had never seen before.

There were a few injuries, but we were pleased to see all of our racers cross the finish line, including Graham. Next stop is some surgery to fix some broken bits. Then we will share where our next adventures will take us. We lastly wanted to say a huge thank you to all of the sponsors that made having fun possible. Onwards!

Had the great honor and privilege to spend the day with some of the racing family and friends. We traveled to the @gncc_racing General in GA to run in honor of our dear friend @mikepenland who pioneered the 4x4 ATV scene. Was amazing to see some old friends who it’s been too long since we last saw them frankly. We both question how we ever found the time to race a full season. Huge thanks to all of our sponsors for their amazing gear - it sure got put through its paces in the worst of conditions!

Until next time…..? 🤔 Let’s see when that will be based on how much @grahamwiddicombe aches tomorrow morning.
