It was a big one this year, you guys. I’m over the moon to share with everyone that we raised over $60,000 in support of @vibrantforall at our annual @pausing_for_the_cause fall dinner in recognition of National Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month. Vibrant is the operator of 988, the suicide and crisis hotline. @chefnormdoe from @carino_chicago and @chefjohnmanion and @capbonilla from @braserochicago joined together in the Brasero kitchen with their teams and they knocked the family style evening out of the proverbial ballpark. I only get 20 pictures to share this super special night with all of you; its really hard to capture all of the intangibles in the dining room but @mikergoldberg did an excellent job trying and all of these beautiful pictures are thanks to him. For those of you unfamiliar with these events, our entire night is built from volunteer manpower. Our chefs, our food purveyors, our somm squad, and all of the beautiful people involved in creating this magic donated their time to raise this money for Vibrant. We join together and throw a dinner party, sending all of the proceeds - every single cent - from the evening to them. We do this knowing that our money will truly affect change and help those who need it the most. If you weren’t able to be with us this year, please join us around the table next time around. If you’re not able to come, please consider a donation - via the link in the profile - to Vibrant. And if you, or someone you know, needs a helping hand, 988 is a wonderful lifeline to know about. #pausingforthecause2026 #bethe1to #vibrantemotionalhealth #nationalsuicidepreventionmonth

Our May community event in Mayfair this past weekend reminded us just how special it is to spend time in different neighborhoods by connecting with clients and friends who feel like family, shopping local, learning the stories behind small businesses, and exploring the history that makes Chicago so unique. 🌵✨ We started at @casacactuschicago for ☕walked through Mayfair 🏡, and wrapped up by browsing @plantshopchicago 🪴 mayfair chicago | chicago community events | things to do it chicago | chicago coffee shop | chicago coffee shops | chicago plant shops There’s something powerful about building community while supporting the places and people that give each neighborhood its character. Our monthly community series will pick back up in September! Drop a comment or slide in our DMs if you want to collaborate with us ❤️ Special shout out to @mikergoldberg for capturing another one of our special events.

One of those pinch me moments. I was honored to speak at @apple downtown alongside the amazing @frannieflo of @tala.chicago, who guided our conversation. Most people see the finished mural — but behind it are hours of concepting, alignment, pitching, and presenting. This was my first time really pulling back the curtain on the process and strategy that shape my work just as much as the final piece. My keynote focused on the art of storytelling — not just as a way to present your work, but as an opportunity to invite people into your vision. I linked the deck in my bio if you missed it or want a refresher. Thank you, @damiane_damiane_damiane, for the invitation and and trusting me to help bring this vision to life. Huge gratitude to @clowerschris, Adrian, and the entire Apple team for making the evening feel so seamless through your leadership and care. Francine, for your thoughtful candor, generosity, and guiding presence throughout our conversation. Lastly all the love to attendees and friends for your support. Forever grateful 💖🥹 Today at Apple offers free programs every day in stores around the world — check out what’s happening at your local Apple Store ❤️ 📷 @mikergoldberg

My submission for the 2026 Italicus Cocktail Competition @italicusrdb. This year's challenge is to reimagine the spritz, exploring new ways to express the aperitivo tradition while highlighting the bright citrus character of Italicus through an art movement. 🌊 🐚 Brezza Salina 1.5 oz Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto 0.25 oz Salers Gentiane Apertif 0.25 oz Amara Sicilian Amaro d'Arancia Rossa 3 oz A'Siciliana Limonata Di Sicilia Sicily Soda Top with Coconut and seaweed foam (3:2:1) Garnish * Green/ Blue matcha dust _______________________________ It may feel unusual to sip a spritz from a seashell, but art was never meant to obey convention and neither do I. This cocktail refuses stillness; it moves, breathes, evolves with every sip. Inspired by the art form of Impressionism and Claude Monet’s Rocks at Belle-Île painting in particular, this spritz is an exercise in light, movement, and fleeting sensation—never still, never singular. In Impressionism, form dissolves into feeling; the eye is invited to wander, to assemble beauty from fragments of color and atmosphere. This drink follows the same philosophy. The word Rosolio, 'Ros Olis', translates to morning dew, a name given because the ingredients to make this spirit would be harvested by farmers early in the morning when crops were heavy with dew and flavors were the most concentrated. I wanted to create a drink that evokes memories of certain flavors and taste when a slight mist hits your nose or your eyes see a certain color, such as this painting. The drink is a composition of contrast and quiet harmony. Laced with the luminous perfume of bergamot, it carries the soul of Italy within it, citrus groves kissed by salt, the distant hush of waves against stone. As you drink, your senses awaken: flickering on water, heavy with zest and sea spray, a memory of winding coastal roads where citrus and ocean dance together in golden light. Like brushstrokes drifting beyond their lines as Monet intended. Unconventional and beautiful all at once. #italicus #italicusrosoliodibergamotto #artofitalicus #A0126 📸 @mikergoldberg

February, the Groho way 💪 Last month we moved together at @op_movement with @mteam_srich @evots_performance in collaboration with @joeyrosen1 pushing ourselves, supporting each other, and showing what community really looks like. We’re proud and excited to keep highlighting Chicago businesses, creating space to connect beyond our day-to-day, and doing things that help us take care of ourselves: together. Our next event is Sunday March 8th at @irishbistro from 4-6, hope to see you there! 🤍 📸: @mikergoldberg chicago wellness | chicago fitness classes | chicago community events | moving to chicago | athletic training chicago | chicago community events

The Drunken Chicken — stacked high on a sesame baguette with vodka sauce, pesto, melted mozzarella + parmesan — paired with kettle chips and a Sicilian limonata. It’s not spring yet… but with Chicago teasing us like this, this combo feels like a sunny lunch break you didn’t know you needed. 🌤️🥪🍋
