Today we celebrate you, Michael David. You’re my favorite person to laugh with, annoy, make memories with and constantly remind that while you were 10- I was fresh out of the womb and in diapers. May your knees remain functional, your back survive another year, your phone battery stay charged, and your bedtime continue getting earlier. 😂 Cheers to 41 years + 41 more. 🩷

I’m just heartbroken for Czech.

His reel has been viewed over 10,000 times, yet we still have **zero foster applications** to get him out of an overcrowded, understaffed open intake shelter.

Why does a good dog like Czech have to spend weeks deteriorating in a shelter before anyone pays attention? Why does it often take a dog being placed on a euthanasia list before people feel a sense of urgency? It’s heartbreaking that dogs are expected to sit for weeks or months in a kennel until they’re in immediate danger before someone steps up.

Czech has been at the shelter for almost a month, and today I noticed him displaying signs of kennel stress. It isn’t fair. He deserves a soft bed, fresh air, love, and a chance to decompress while he waits for his forever home.

**Fostering is completely FREE and temporary**—you simply provide a safe place for Czech until he’s adopted.

Please, if you’ve ever thought about fostering, apply with @bravebabesanimalrescue Brave Babes Animal Rescue ASAP. You could be the reason Czech gets out before the shelter breaks his spirit.

Please share this post. Czech is waiting. 💔

It’s not just about getting stronger physically—it’s building trust, pushing each other, and showing up side by side even on the hard days. 🤍

Get yourself a Michael, just not MY Michael. So thankful for this man and all of his support, day in and day out; whether it’s coming to support me for a work event, supporting my fitness journey, supporting my students, and everything in between. He’s always being willing to go along with my ideas and being down for all the WPS I want to do. 😂 The man makes me want to rip my hair out some days, but even when I’m bald because he drove me nuts, I’ll still forever appreciate him for all he does for me, for us, for Bubba and for Butters. 🤍

For those who’ve been following me for a while, you know one of my biggest missions with The Healing Fawn is spreading awareness about unresolved childhood trauma — and how it shows up in our adult lives.
Last week on @mikie_phit podcast I broke down the misconceptions and shared the truth behind each one.

Many people don’t even know what we mean when we say “trauma.”
Some think they don’t have any.
Others believe it’s just victim escapism.
These misconceptions don’t just block healing —
they allow trauma to keep spreading, impacting our relationships, our children, and the world around us.
Understanding the truth behind them is essential in breaking these cycles. If you want to help spread truth and feel called to help more people heal—so we can heal collectively, repost or share.
