i’ve lowkey lost some motivation after finding my first 10/10 stick.. so until guy fieri notices me and asks to take me on a cross country roadtrip to find the next best stick, this is what we get

SUNDAY SAUCE
8.7/10

BREAD TO CHEESE RATIO: 8.2/10
OVERALL FLAVOR: 9/10
CHEESE PULL: 7.8/10
MARINARA: 9/10
PRESENTATION: 10/10

my one thought: i need these fancy restaurants (i say fancy because it’s not a dive bar) to start serving more than 3 stix, what happened to the good ol’ days of 6+ ???

that’s all i got for today

Us: “we need to be saving money.”

Also us after a workout: actually I think we deserve TWO $7 little treats.

i fear i’ve peaked. after eating approximately 372 mid mozzarella sticks around this city, i have finally found her. the elusive, mythical, perfect 10/10

LUCKY HORSESHOE LOUNGE
10/10

these stix had:

- a cheese pull that could’ve kept going but i only have so much arm
- the ideal bread-to-cheese ratio (see slide 2 for close up proof)
- crunch loud enough to start a neighborhood dispute
- marinara that actually tasted like tomatoes instead of warm ketchup trauma
- a presentation that was so easy, so simple. they didn’t need to use a bed of spinach to distract you from the lack of flavor

CHEESE PULL: 10/10
BREAD TO CHEESE RATIO: 10/10
FLAVOR: 10/10
MARINARA: 10/10

no notes. no complaints. no character development needed.
i would trust these mozzarella sticks with my taxes, my secrets, and potentially my firstborn 🫡🧀

* the only negative i really had and i wouldn’t even consider it a negative was that it only came with 3 stix….. and i could’ve easily eaten double that

alas, the quest does not stop here. i am still on the hunt for my next 10/10

STARTING THE YEAR OFF STRONG 💪🏼

one of my 2026 resolutions is to bring this page back to life so hold my ass accountable. ok, let’s get into it

HOLMAN’S
8.8/10

- breading was solid. golden, evenly coated, and actually flavorful instead of just existing to hold the cheese together. no complaints here
- flavor overall was really good — well seasoned, nothing weird, nothing trying too hard. i appreciate when a mozzi stick knows what it is
- crispiness was there. good crunch on the outside, didn’t feel soggy or sad, which we loooove
- marinara… slightly runny. flavor was fine, did its job, but consistency could’ve been thicker. not the star of the show, but at least it showed up
- cheese to bread ratio was a little off for me. maybe slightly *too* much cheese, which feels illegal to say but here we are
- string pull was basically nonexistent, which was disappointing. for how much cheese there was, i expected more drama
- presentation was simple and clean. no garnish, no bullshit, no “elevated” nonsense. just stix and sauce. exactly how it should be

overall, these were very good. not flawless, not earth-shattering, but absolutely something i’d order again without hesitation

8.8/10 feels right
