It’s Sophomore Day. The day I’ve honestly been dreading since the day I committed to DACC. The past two years have been nothing short of a roller coaster. There have been so many highs, so many lows, countless memories, lessons learned, tears shed, and laughs shared. But through it all, I can confidently say that coming to DACC was one of the best decisions I could have ever made for myself. I came here to play the sport I love, but I’m leaving with so much more than that. I’ve grown in ways I never expected, learned so much about myself, and met some of the most incredible people along the way.
To my teammates: Thank you for making this season so incredibly special. The memories we’ve made, the laughs we’ve shared, and the bonds we’ve built are things I’ll carry with me forever. We’ve had so much fun together, and knowing I only got one year with our freshmen genuinely breaks my heart. I wish we had more time. You guys mean the absolute world to me, and I hope you know how much each of you has impacted my life.
To my sophomores: Appl, Aleeya, Brenna, and Kya. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better group of girls to go through these past two years with. From the very beginning to our final home game, I’m so thankful I got to experience this journey alongside you four.
To my coaches, Shawna and Savanna: Thank you for the countless hours, patience, dedication, and effort you’ve poured into me. Thank you for pushing me, believing in me, and helping me grow not only as an athlete but also as a person. I’m beyond grateful for everything you’ve done for me these past two years.
And lastly, to my parents: I don’t think I could ever put into words how thankful I am for you two. Thank you for helping me chase this dream and for standing by my side through every high and every low. The time, money, sacrifices, miles traveled, and endless support have never gone unnoticed. You two are the reason any of this was possible for me. I love you both more than words could ever explain. Thank you, DACC volleyball, for the best two years and for the memories I’ll cherish forever. God is so good! #rolljags🐆 #agtg 💛💚

what a journey… I’m so grateful that I got to play for Stateline Pride Volleyball Club! I’m so proud of this team! 5th out of 95 teams at Nationals is an AMAZING ACCOMPLISHMENT! A couple months ago, I didn’t know if I was ever going to play club volleyball again, and now I’m going to continue playing in college. Thank you to the coaches and players for believing in me and helping me complete a dream of mine. I’ll miss this team and forever remember the fun times that we had. Now, it’s time for a new adventure. ❤️🖤

Fifth out of 95 and being named AAU All- American 2 years in a row is something I am forever grateful for!! It’s crazy to think that my club volleyball journey has officially come to an end. I’m beyond grateful for every girl and coach who stood by my side throughout the years. Thank you for helping shape me into the player and person I am today. Growing up with all of you, competing together, making memories, and watching each other chase our dreams has been something I’ll cherish forever. I love every single one of you so dearly, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things everyone accomplishes. As bittersweet as this goodbye is, I’m so excited for what’s ahead. Also shoutout to my family and boyfriend fro surprising me by flying out to watch my last games!!!

Here’s to the next chapter.
