First day out on the new toy

For quite awhile now it’s been a dream of mine to get a sled for sled accessed backcountry skiing. A few years ago I joined some friends on a ski trip and we utilized sleds to get to the zone, and it opened my eyes to what a tool a snowmobile could be.

This year with some big projects and destinations coming I decided to pull the trigger and purchase one. With such a low snow season this is perfect timing to get up to higher elevations. Shoutout the homie miles for showing me around for my first day out.

Sledding was way harder than I thought it would be, but surprisingly only got stuck once, and only rolled her once. We ended up reaching the peak of one of the mountains out here in Idaho, and having lunch at the top on the fire lookout.

Looking around on our way up and down I saw so many ski lines, and I’m so pumped for where this machine will take me.

Here’s a little photo dump from the 2nd annual Legacy Lift Off event back in August. Loved watching the pros, but the stoke from the youngins that weekend was though to beat.

Big ups to the crew @legacybikepark and media team— always a pleasure.
