THE HABIT OF CONCERN EXPERIENCE (NYFW ‘26)

August 20th, 2026 I was sitting on my bathroom floor collapsed over with tears flowing from my eyes after hearing about the loss of my cousin and life long brother, Reggie. I wanted to give up, I questioned everything around me, my existence, my purpose, my intentions, everything. I was capsized by the emotion of anger and resentment. We hadn’t announced the exhibition yet and I completely wanted to cancel it. I didn’t feel the purpose of presenting art into the world when there are real problems going on. Then I had to realize that it’s my responsibility to keep the people, stories, experiences, and spirit alive through the work and provide the capacity and spaces for others to live, connect, love, inspire and experience being in its entirety.

This exhibition represented the notion of a rebirth and I am truly thankful for everyone that pulled up or supported in any capacity! None of this could’ve been pulled off without the help of the HABIT CREW:
