Happy 2nd birthday Posi-Train Productions! 🥳

7 shorts, 2 episodic, 2 commercials, and 2 features. Swipe to see some highlights of some great stories I’ve been able to help tell. I’m so thankful for all of the wonderful actors and filmmakers I’ve been able to collaborate with so far!

If you had told little me who loved writing Disney Channel episodes and performing for her loved ones that eventually she would get enough knowledge and experience and confidence as a filmmaker and an actor to start her own casting agency, she wouldn’t have believed it.

I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting today on this LLC of mine. Looking back, Posi-Train really was a bright light for me after a season of major change, grief, insecurity and negative thinking. It was my own personal slap in the face in a way. A slap that allowed me the space to reset and build, and trust in my own abilities and passions. It got me back on track and has brought me so much joy ever since!

Filled with gratitude and excited for what’s next. Cheers to 2 years 🥂🥹

***Premiere time!! (On youtube at least)***
It has been a long time coming, but I’m overjoyed to invite anyone who wishes to watch on March 14th at 3:30pm EST for the official YouTube premiere of The Space In Between! A sci-fi, psychological thriller short film we shot 2 years ago.

J.R. Adduci’s and Garin Hyde’s electric performances and our crew being some of Charlotte’s finest, made this one of the best experiences of my life. Thank you to everyone who was a part of this either in making or supporting it, you all mean the world to me!

Please enjoy with me, next Friday! (YouTube link in bio)

Today feels like the most Monday of Fridays. First time in 5 years (when the festival has been in-person) that I’m not at Sundance with members of my film family. We’re unwell with major FOMO (right @ajriggins?) and it seems like this year so many of our favorites are there with films, as jurors, or speaking on panels (hi, Jesse Eisenburg + Darren Aronofsky + Debra Granik) 😭

6 years ago this coming week, I was preparing for my MFA film interview at UNCSA. I was terrified I wouldn’t be accepted into the program, and I remember the nerves really starting to grip me around this time. I had never met any of these incredible humans, and I’d certainly never imagined I would fulfill my dream of attending Sundance so soon. 6 years (and 3 festivals) later, I can’t imagine life without these inspiring confidants and our winters spent on the snowy mountain, fully immersed in films. Side note: Maybe the big thing/meeting/leap-of-faith you’re prepping for is the risk that will radically change your life. I’m rooting for you!

So, to combat the snow-less, Sundance-less sadness, here are a few of my favorite moments from last year’s film fam adventures, plus some memories from the 2019 + 2020 festival 🥹
