CONTENTS Part Il is an exhibition of jewellery, objects and furniture by ten artists and makers. Responding to the setting of the renovated Victorian chapel, the exhibition uses its architecture and history as a point of departure for exploring materiality and meaning within craft.

Was beyond exciting to put on a show coinciding with Munich Jewellery Week. Thank you to everyone who attended the opening and visited throughout the week - still feeling overwhelmed and happy. Both fun and hard work went into organising and installing this exhibition - it couldn’t have happened without everyone involved.

Extending huge thanks to Lydia Gastroph of @weissueberdentodhinaus for hosting us in her beautiful gallery. Our idea was made possible with her generosity and trust, alongside her innovative practice that inspires.

CONTENTS, taking place at weiss über den tod hinaus is a presentation of work by ten emerging artists and makers - a group of friends and contemporaries who admire each other’s work. The collection of jewellery and objects responds to the setting of the funeral gallery, using it as a linchpin to explore meaning-making across international perspectives, mediums and practices.

Finally got to visit some of my jewellery artwork exhibited as part of the @lisbon_jewellery_biennial in Portugal before it closed!

My ‘iDo’ gold wedding band and ‘Till debt do us part’ gold engagement ring from my ‘21st Century Attachments’ collection were on display.

It was very surreal to visit them in a city I love so much and also see them alongside some other amazing artists and designers’ work I truly admire.

Thanks so much for having me be part of this! @pin_contemporary_jewellery @martacostareis_jewellery @lisbon_jewellery_biennial - so so grateful. And of course to everyone who came to visit, I appreciate you!

🌿 Fariha envisions a circular life for jewelry, crafting their final collection mainly from recycled silver and plant-based resin. Their environmentally conscious approach extends to collaborating with a casting house that prioritizes cleaner energy.⁣

🌎 Richard is on a mission to revive the fading art of silversmith skills, emphasizing precision and craftsmanship. They are committed to sustainability, using a casting house powered by renewable energy for their unique pieces.⁣

♻️ Miles is dedicated to minimizing waste, focusing on sourcing materials from waste materials and found objects. His final collection showcases creativity with minimal environmental impact, using scrap metal and upcycled leather.⁣

Join us for the final days of ‘Memories Are Made Of This’, closing this Saturday 27 January.

“Memories are how we record our past, but they are also our grounding for the future. Each time we remember we make tiny alterations to the recollections.” - Corinne Julius

‘Memories are Made of This’ is our first jewellery show, curated by critic Corinne Julius. Fifteen contemporary jewellery makers were invited to create works that embody sensations of remembrance while dwelling upon the nature of personal and collective memory.
