Quiet performance. Slim sightlines. Double‑pane comfort.

@LaurelWindows — Thermally Broken Aluminum, Double‑Pane (Installation Video)

What you’re watching: our installation crew setting frames and double‑pane units into a high‑performance envelope. This isn’t just a window install, it’s a building‑science upgrade that shows up in comfort, acoustics, and long‑term value.

Why it matters

• Thermally broken aluminum — stops thermal bridging at the frame for measurable energy savings.
• Double‑pane glazing — superior insulation and sound control, ideal for demanding climates.
• Precision installation — correct flashing, airtight sealing, and consistent geometry for real performance.
• Slim modern sightlines — more glass, less frame, cleaner architecture without sacrificing strength.
• Durability that lasts — aluminum resists warping and weathering, reducing callbacks and maintenance.

Save this post if you’re planning a high‑performance build.

This is actually genius. A mockup of the finished home, placed right on site during construction so the client can see exactly where the design is headed.

Also happens to cover the porta potty, which we consider a bonus.

This is what good builders do: keep the vision alive even when the job site is at peak chaos.

What your thoughts? 💭

Thermally broken aluminum windows with triple‑pane glazing are one of the biggest performance upgrades you can make in a custom home, and this project in Weaverville, NC shows exactly why. Stronger structure, better insulation, and cleaner modern lines all in one package.

Swipe through the carousel to see how this system performs across the entire build and the before and after photos of the install:

• Triple‑pane glass for serious comfort Better insulation, quieter interiors, and stable temperatures year‑round, especially in mountain climates.

• Thermally broken aluminum frames The interior stays warm, the exterior stays cold, and the frame stops heat transfer at the source.

• Slim, modern sightlines You get the strength of aluminum without bulky profiles, keeping the architecture clean and contemporary.

• Built for long‑term durability Aluminum resists warping, swelling, and weathering, perfect for homes exposed to big seasonal swings.

This is the level of window performance that makes a home feel solid, quiet, and comfortable for decades.

A few more clips from this project — hard to beat days like these. Clean lines, big glass, and a site that makes the work feel easy. Always grateful for builders who care about the details as much as we do. @milestonecontracting_avl
