I had an 8hr layover in New York City. I must say, I made the most out of it. Jet-lagged, and I still walked 12 661 steps, yikes 😱..

My 2022 favourite destination. This’ how I welcomed December. I am priviledged to do work that I love.

Do I work hard? Yes. The best part being … the world is my office. I can work from anywhere in the world e.g, right by the beach 😎.

Does it come at a cost? Absolutely. Many a time, I travel for research. This’ essential in curating travel experiences. I remember when I started out in 2015. I did not always make a profit and when I did, it was minimal. This was me intentionally investing in the business. I’d travel with a group, I’d take the work to have a hands-on understanding of how travel works, to create systems, exploring the destination for alternative options with the next tour in mind and not make a dime. My husband, bless his soul, would support me financially. Wait, does that mean I had a blesser? Ah 😵! Fast forward, the business has grown and still evolving. A whole business partner operating from South Africa and setting roots there. We’ve traveled with groups to the USA, Europe, the UK, Middle East, maybe one day Australia, Asia…maybe Antarctica 🥶.

So, as we have begun 2023 and we have made plans, we ask you to journey with us. We offer services to groups of 9+ traveling together or you may join our group tours with set destinations and itineraries.

Follow our page @ thegroupgetaway, link is in bio and stay up to date with what we’re cooking. Sign up for our Zanzibar tour end of April, Tuscany and/or Amalfi Coast by Vespa 🛵 in July and August, because June is SOLD OUT!

Throw🔙Thursday to December 2018. I watched two matches I never dreamt I would, EVER;

1. Novak Djokovic vs Rafael Nadal
2. Serena Williams vs Venus aka Williams vs Williams, lol.

I didn’t plan for this, I happened to be in Abu Dhabi at the right time 🙃. Check slide 3, I got to watch this with my family.

Anyway, this’ an announcement, Mubadala World Tennis 🎾 Championship is back for 2021 and I’m taking a group with me.

For more info, DM me and I’ll call you back or head over to our Instagram Page; The Group Getaway and see the exciting packages curated with you in mind. Link in bio :)
