Before I post prom and banquets and end of year/graduation, I feel the need to go wayyy back to March 1 with @guadalupe.tx.distinguishedyw . On this day, I received the honor of being named Distinguished Young Woman of Guadalupe County 2026-2027. It was such an amazing experience, and I am so so grateful to have gone through it with such a profound group of young women.

•To my fellow contestants: I am so happy to have gone through this experience with you all. I will never forget the kindness and love we all shared with each other. I feel so much pride in knowing that our generation of young women is in good hands. You guys were amazing, and you’re all so beautiful— inside and out!! I hope that you continue to grow and gain confidence as you do.

•To my sponsors: thank you for your support! This truly would not have been possible without you, and your donation of service is not unrecognized. Thank you for being there for me and always being someone I can count on for guidance.

•To my mom: Thank you for being to woman I look up to the most. I am so grateful to know that you will support me through anything, and I only hope to make you proud. You are so strong, and I strive to be the kind of woman that you are. I love you so much!!

•To the rest of my family: I would not be who I am today without you guys. It truly takes a village, and I’m so grateful to have you in mine. I love having a family built on support and love— I wouldn’t have it any other way.

•To the women with DYW: thank you for supporting the young women in the community. It is such a blessing to have this program and to have a group of women to look up to throughout the experience. It would not be what it is without you.

•And last, but certainly not least— to all of the young women in Guadalupe County and beyond: Always believe in yourself. You are amazing, and being yourself is enough. To those in Guadalupe County considering the program— do it. Take a leap of faith and build that confidence in yourself. The door of Distinguished Young Women is always open, and we will welcome you with a smile.
