“It’s not about the distance, it’s about what happens during the distance” I am not sure what distance I am talking about but really holding onto what is happening during the distance

Chicago Marathon, the end of a running season which started with a calf strain in February, followed by a couple PBs, and a couple races which came up short of my goals. Then finally, a marathon block of trying to appreciate what is important around me. Time with my people was a big goal this weekend and running hard was going to be included. A really special support system helped that running hard part fall into place on Sunday. I am grateful for being able to rip a personal best all while embracing my people on the course and those supporting from a far. Thank you for one I will always remember
