Today I had the honor of being part of a fireside chat. The best part I got to speak about the organization I work for WellMed Medical Management and the other I am honored to be a board member AGE of Central Texas. Getting to talk about caregiving is very important, especially in the Latino community. It is not talked about! It’s assumed you are to know what to do, where are the resources, etc. Thankful both organizations I am involved focus care for the elderly and provide resources for families. Most Latino families don’t talk about the wishes their loved wants. Are they wanting to stay at home or do they feel it is best to have alternative care? Are you aware Medicare does not pay for these services. There is so much to discuss and know. Seek out the resources, but most importantly if you are a caregiver, make time for your mental health. This weekend I would not been able to get away had I not had the support of my daughter Emma, Ricky, John, my cousin Pat and Wendy. You see it takes a village. Most importantly I love my mama!

✨LET’S GO GIRLS(ALL)✨ I like to do this for my special people & this is definitely one of them. One of my favorite ladies moved locations down to Buda to a place of her own, finally! I’m so proud of her & her journey. If you don’t already know, I’ve been going to Xuxu for about 8 years now and honestly she’s like family to my daughter, mom, grandma and I. Not only does she never ever fail on my nails, she’s always reliable, she’s constantly making me life and when I don’t know what I want for my nails… she always has the creative solution. I’ve always told her I’d follow her wherever she went and I mean that still wholeheartedly. I’m blessed to have the best nail tech and an even better friend. Go support her at Sweet Nails in Buda! 🤍🖤 #nails #explore #explorepage #austin #buda #texas
