Our 5th annual Hanukkah celebration took place at the @7springnyc members club in Nolita, where backgammon & dreidels intertwined amidst art deco elegance & 70s hollywood glamour 🎲🕯️

Thank you to all who made this possible: Yazan and team for opening your home, to our awesome co-hosts Juriël and Michal, to the vibey DJ Mark, the ever inspirational Tessa, our generous supporter Josh, our photographer Daniel, and to our amazing community who joined the party.

May the miraculous light of Hanukkah & the courage and trust of the maccabees carry its light into the winter and year ahead ✨

In a world that feels more divided and divisive than ever before, creating spaces for togetherness feels not just meaningful but essential. A moment to pause, connect, and remember what it means to belong.

Shabbat isn’t just a meal, its tikkun olam in action.

Tikkun Olam is a Jewish spiritual and ethical principle that means “repairing the world” and calls on us to take actions, big or small that contribute to a more just, compassionate, and harmonious world.

We lit candles. We broke bread.
We laughed, we listened, we slowed down to truly see one another.
This is Shabbat.

Shabbat Shalom everyone✨ @chosen_gatherings

At our Kabbalah & Cocktails event we explored the mystical trait of Tiferet תִּפְאֶרֶת - Harmony, Beauty, Truth, Compassion.

Thank you to our incredible event co-host Hannah, to David for your words of inspiration, Zeke for serenading us, to our generous co-sponsors, and to Arthur & Ashley for your gracious hospitality 🤍
___

In a world where extreme positions seem to be the norm, Kabbalah teaches that the true path is one of balance - within our soul is a variety of traits that need to be harmonized. A healthy love is one that is balanced with boundaries, respect, and discernment.

This Divine trait of balance and harmony is found throughout the universe: Our lungs breathe in and then out. Our hearts contract inward and pump outward. The waves of the ocean dash forward to the shore, only to pull back into the sea. Any break in overstepping this harmony can spell disaster. Our body needs sleep and animals hibernate. The earth enters night and winter in preparation for dawn and spring. The earth and sun orbit at a perfect distance for life to thrive.

May humanity as a whole, and each of us in our personal lives, find a beauty that can only be found in a life of harmony together.
