We had the pleasure of hosting the Moose Jaw Millers, and particularly Michael Rago, at The Tunnels.

Michael manned the hot corner for the Millers this season and brought another Chicago Connection to the Notorious City this summer.

As it turns out, the Rago Family has owned and operated Rago Brothers Funeral Homes in Chicago for over 100 years. We spoke with Michael about his family's funeral home and how they arranged the funerals for “Machine Gun” Jack McGurn in 1936 and Notorious Mob Boss Al Capone in 1947.

Thank you to Michael and the Rago Family for sharing this story, and Charmaine with Lions Creek for arranging this tour!

There are seasons that you watch… and then there are seasons that become a part of you. 🖤💛⚾️💛🖤

This Moose Jaw Miller Express season was something incredibly special. And yes, the way it ended hurts. But even through the heartbreak of playoffs, I can't help but to keep coming back to just how incredible this season truly was.

Franchise records broken. Unbelievable plays. Moments that had us on the edge of our seats. And a team full of incredibly talented players who gave this game everything they had.

I am so incredibly proud to have watched it all unfold.

And maybe what makes the ending hurt the most is knowing that for some of these players, this was the end of their time playing for Moose Jaw. Over the years, I’ve gotten to watch these guys play, cheer for them, celebrate their wins, watch them grow, and become genuinely attached to the people behind the jerseys. Some of them have become players I’ll never forget, and they will always have a little piece of my heart. 🥹

I also don’t think I’ll ever fully be able to explain what it means to me to be 'that fan'. The one who talks about the Miller's constantly. The one who brings people into the Miller Nation. The one who is known for her love of baseball, but more specifically, her love for this team.

Being able to share that love with other people has been one of the best parts of this journey.

So yes… I cried a lot last night. I’m crying in or in between most of my pictures with the boys last night in Stoon. 😂😭

But those tears aren't just because we lost.

They’re because I’m grateful. Because I’m proud. Because I know how lucky I’ve been to experience these moments. Because I know some of these memories won’t ever happen in quite the same way again.

Thank you, Miller's, for one hell of a season. Thank you for the memories, the records, the incredible plays, the laughs, the heartbreak, and everything in between.

The season may be over, but my love for this team definitely isn't.
My dance recitals growing up always concluded by quoting "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened" and that’s the perfect conclusion to this post too

See you next time AT ROSS WELLS PARK and GO MILLERS🫎
