The missions trip I had been praying about finally became reality. I went to the Dominican expecting opportunities to serve and show God’s love, but what’s amazing is that in my service I was SERVED . So much joy, love, and encouragement was poured into me throughout this week.

The people I met touched my heart and reminded me how good God truly is. Every place I went and every position I found myself in felt directed by Him, and I was constantly aware of His presence this entire trip.

Thank you to everyone who supported me, prayed for me, and helped make this missions trip possible with @meetinggodinmissions and @nlfatiup . Your impact reached not only the people in the Dominican, but also me in ways I’ll never forget.

This week has been absolutely surreal. God’s love is truly overwhelming and this week was all the evidence I will ever need. God’s love knows no bounds - no distance, no country, and certainly no language could ever separate His children because the love of God is the same everywhere. We serve such a good and faithful God. He used me a vessel this week and showed me what it truly means to be the hands and feet of Jesus - my heart is forever changed and I will never be able to thank God enough.

At the end of this week, we were asked for one word to describe our week - my word is selah. It is a Hebrew word that means to slow down, pause, and reflect on what you just heard. One thing I learned this week is that God never stops talking to me, I just need to listen by slowing down, pausing, and reflecting on what He is saying to me. This made me realize how often I let my busy life get in the way of God’s voice. I struggle slowing down and going with the flow, but this week abundantly showed me why it is important to be still and trust God.

Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.
Psalm 46:10

I pray to always have the courage to live out this verse and I thank God for blessing me abundantly by making a way for me to show His love in the world.

UNTIL ALL HAVE HEARD 🌎

The Lord brought me to my first mission trip in the Dominican Republic, and it was the most life changing experience I have ever had. Words cannot describe the feelings you get when seeing the things you see on this trip. I went thinking I was just going to go help people, and it didn’t take me long to realize that God was helping me in the smallest ways. This trip has cut me so deep when you witness other people of other languages worshipping and praising the SAME JESUS that we do here in America. Jesus is the King of the entire Earth. Heaven is roaring right now for the lives that were changed and the seeds that were planted. I am blessed beyond words to be able to baptize my best friend in God’s Water. Hallelujah! Humbled doesn’t do it enough justice on how God is moving through people who have nothing. Yet the light of Jesus shines through them. Being able to come together with 60 other believers my age has been one of the best things I’ve ever done. I am so thankful for each and every brother and sister in Christ I’ve encountered this week. For the first time in my life, I have complete fulfillment in Jesus. We are CALLED to go and serve, and to go and make disciples of all nations! Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess. Jesus is Alive and Jesus is moving and Jesus wants YOU! THANK YOU JESUS!!!

¡Soy feliz Jesús me liberó!

I don’t have enough pictures or words to fully describe this trip. We serve such a good God! The Dominican Republic was one of the most humbling and beautiful experiences I have been a part of. Being able to serve others by playing with kids, painting, teaching English, and helping to provide medicine was just so special. The love and joy the Dominican people have changes your heart in ways you didn’t even know you needed. Even with a language barrier, a smile and a laugh is the same everywhere :)

This trip wasn’t about what I could get out of it, but God still used it to change my perspective and my heart in ways that are hard to put into words. It’s one of those things where you truly have to be there to understand the fullness of it all. Getting to worship, pray, serve, laugh, and cry alongside other believers is so so so beautiful! Such a special group!! God is so good ❤️

Day 6!!! (Final Day 🏝️)

We were blessed to see some of our students taking the next step in their faith by getting baptized! We also get to celebrate the engagement of Tanner and Vanna! What a wonderful end to this year’s mission trip, we hope to see all of you on our next trip in January 2027!
