A QUIET PLACE PART II: EMMETT AND REGAN
A couple of evenings ago, I found out that the film was back on Netflix in my country.
Anyone who knows me really well understands why I get emotional during scenes like this one and the one at the station, where he and the girl are interacting.
She holds his head or chin in her hands to get a clear view of his whole face from the front, so she can understand what he is trying to tell her.

Here, the tough and rugged Emmett opens up, and, thinking about this scene, I can’t wait for the third part to come out: it will allow us to understand so much about this man’s life.

A man drops 12 frozen embryos and gets charged with 12 counts of manslaughter. Here’s my spoiler-free review of The Plea, the new black-and-white jury drama with Millicent Simmonds from A Quiet Place and Kathryn Erbe from Law & Order: Criminal Intent. 3.5 out of 5, almost a four. My full written review is at mcauleytucker.com.

The most heartbreaking moment in A Quiet Place (2018) is when Lee and Evelyn lose their youngest son, Beau.
While the family is walking home, Beau accidentally activates a noisy toy rocket. The sound attracts the creatures, and Lee desperately runs toward his son, but he cannot reach him in time.
In seconds, a father loses his child, and a family’s world falls apart. A Quiet Place (2018)
Genre: Horror, Thriller, Sci-Fi
Runtime: 1 hour 30 minutes
IMDb Rating: 7.5/10
Story:
In a world where mysterious creatures hunt by sound, a family must live in almost complete silence to survive. Every whisper, every footstep, and every unexpected noise could mean death. As they struggle to protect their children, the family discovers that survival requires courage, sacrifice, and absolute silence.
Why it’s special:
The film turns silence into a source of terror. Its brilliant sound design, intense suspense, and emotional family story make even the smallest noise feel dangerous.
