Lots of lovely new faces here recently, so I thought I’d introduce myself and share a few favourites from my collections 🤍

I’m Millie, artist, photographer and mum of two, building a creative space and community for women alongside my day job in dentistry. Life is so busy, but having this space means so much to me.

I’ve spent years picking myself apart and hiding from the camera. Slowly, I’ve learnt to love myself more and feel more comfortable being seen. Painting women has been part of that. Finding beauty in someone else’s softness, curves and scars has made me question why I’m so hard on myself.

I often struggle to find the words, and art gives me a way to tell my story and make sense of my experiences. Womanhood, motherhood and learning to accept myself all find their way into my paintings.

As women, we carry so much. I still have things I’m working through, but sharing helps me feel less alone. I hope something here makes you feel that way too.

I also photograph women, with that same hope of helping you see the beauty in yourself.

More of my story, self-portraits, curves and mum-and-baby paintings and so much more is coming very soon 🤍

Commissions are open, if you’ve ever want to be turned into an actual piece of art, I am your girl! prints are available through the link in my bio, or if you ever want to be photographed by me go find me @milliew_photography .

Which pieces are your favourites, and what would you love to see more of? 🌷🌸🫶🏻✨💖

You don’t get to choose how other people see you, but you do get to choose what you do with what you’ve been through.

There’s something really powerful in taking the things that were meant to knock you down and turning them into something beautiful.

Art has helped me express parts of my own story in a way words never really could. It’s given me somewhere to put the emotion, and it’s healed me more than I can explain.

That’s what I hope my Art and Photography can help other women too, a way to tell their story, feel seen, and feel completely celebrated for who they are. 💗

Today my 4 year old asked me, “Mummy, why is your tummy squishy and mine isn’t?”

I said, “Because my body has grown and changed, and it has carried two beautiful babies.”

And instead of feeling self-conscious or spiralling into all the things I wanted to change, I just felt peace.

I’ve spent most of my life being hard on myself. Picking apart my body, overthinking everything, wondering why my brain never seems to switch off.

But I’ve worked so hard over the past couple of years to see myself differently. More recently, I’ve been looking for answers, learning more about how my brain works and figuring out what’s good for me and what isn’t.

And actually, the more I learn about my messy, colourful brain, the more I love it. Yes, it overthinks, gets overwhelmed and rarely switches off, but it’s also creative, curious, full of ideas, feels everything deeply and notices beauty everywhere.

Maybe I’m finally learning to see my body for what it’s done, not just what it looks like, and to give my overactive mind a little more grace, love and understanding too. 🤍

❤️ a tiny heart, hidden within the painting as a reminder choose love over criticism.

They say the most important relationship you’ll ever have is the one with yourself ✨🤍 … trying to remind myself of this more these days 🥲

✨️The past 6 months has been an absolutely whirlwind.✨️

If you had asked me back in February if I would have felt comfortable getting naked infront of strangers I would of 100% have said absolutely not!

But then Jen entered my life again (5 years later) and made me feel so safe and so secure that I thought fuck it and got photographed that way aswell. 🤯 You are the reason I want to give women what you have given me Jen. 🫶🏻

A year ago I weighed 3 and 1/2 stone heavier and did not like what I saw. I only ever took picture of my face never my body and now I look forward to every shoot with every photographer who takes the time to shoot me. 💜

I am so unbelievably grateful for the ride that I am on with so many incredible women. Women who show their strength, resilience and beauty every time I see them. It absolutely blows my mind. Being a part of the liberty family truely is something very special that I think every women should experience. 🥰

If you want your time to shine dm me. Let's talk about it. 😘

📸 Thank you @milliew_photography for capturing me at the Main Event. I’m so proud of my photography journey and the work I’m putting in behind the scenes to learn my craft. I’m using this photo as my ‘before’. 67 days until I’m back at the Main Event again for the same photo, same place, different vibe. From now until then I’m upping my game - more steps, conscious food choices and intentionally looking after myself better. By making myself accountable, I am opening myself up to succeed and be supported. Follow along for my glow up ✨💕

Meet Millie🌸 Her talent is showing emotion through colour, using art to highlight life’s beauty, making women feel seen and beautiful. Also, like me, she’s recently become one of the liberty licensee photographers 📸, taking stunning pictures of women, helping them claim back their power and shine. Millie also happens to be the most beautiful person, inside and out. Have a look at her pages on @milliew.art @milliew_photography or send her a DM regarding commissions.

I can’t wait to share more of these! It was the most magical supportive evening. I literally don’t own a single blue item of clothing, but this dress from @bump.drops has made me think that maybe I should!
