🇵🇪 6 DAYS UNTIL PERU!

Some journeys take us across the world. Others bring us closer to our purpose. ❤️

In just six days, RB2R is heading to Peru with Millimetres 2 Mountains (M2M)!

We’re incredibly grateful to M2M for this opportunity to experience the power of nature, human connection, and resilience firsthand.

For us, this is more than an adventure. It’s a chance to learn, grow, and bring inspiration home as we build a future of hope and second chances for people facing life’s toughest challenges.

Because rock bottom doesn’t have to be the end of anyone’s story.

Peru, here we come! 🏔️

Follow along on this incredible journey!

Day 1 - I was fortunate enough to be part of an incredible @millimetres2mountains trip to Switzerland, stopping in Chamonix before heading into the Val de Bagnes, staying in a mountain refuge, and hiking up to the 3084m summit of Mont Rogneux. But the first day had me genuinely questioning my decision to join this trip.

An early morning brief from the guides proceeded a stomach churning transfer through the Alpine switchbacks of the French-Swiss border 🤮

I woke up thinking, "We're driving to the Cabane, so I can pack an extra bag and just leave what I don't need for summit day in the refuge."

I was wrong. By about 7km of majoratively steep elevation gain 😒

This summed it up for me on day one. I really struggled on this first day of hiking. Overpacking externally was a physical representation of my mental overpacking and overloading.

Extra meds, extra stoma bags, extra wipes, extra underwear, extra shirts.....all "just in case".

It led to a very long day and a very short lesson.

Pit stop and meet & greet circle chat.

Welcome to the Alps

I cannot tell you how stunning this was in person. This photo is no bueno in comparison

The Cabane Brunet. Despite the beautiful location, my health anxiety was running rampant. Heart thumping through my chest as I attempted to settle for the night.

"I'm not ready for this. This was a bad idea" on repeat for hours.

📍 Manaslu Drip Station, Nepal 🇳🇵
(Not the yak, next slide please)

Imagine flying to Nepal, driving for 12hrs, hiking for days on end, daydreaming about delicious coffee… when out of the mist come this place!

Probably the best mountainside coffee I’ve ever had.

This is a little throwback to 2023 with @millimetres2mountains to Nepal with the incredible @bigraj_tamang & his team from @nepalascentadventures.

@edjackson8 & @loisjackson8 look very happy with their decision to pause and caffeinate 🫶

Chemex, V60s, @aeropress… proof that you can always have a great coffee if you stop with the excuses 😅
