I just visited Milliy Family Restaurant in Naperville, and this was such a good introduction to Uzbek food 🇺🇿🍽️ (@milliy.us ) Milliy serves Uzbek and Central Asian cuisine in a warm space made for sitting down and sharing a meal. If the menu is new to you, look out for plov, a savory rice dish, and samsa, a flaky pastry with a savory filling. They also have kebabs, dumplings, and tea, so there’s plenty to explore on a first visit. The restaurant is Zabiha halal, too. (milliyfamilyrestaurant.com⁠, hmsusa.org⁠) I love finding places around Chicago that introduce me to a different food culture. Date night WITH the kids? 👀😍 Say less! This Uzbek restaurant really impressed me—from the beautiful food presentation to the **indoor kids’ play area** where you can enjoy your meal and still keep an eye on the little ones. 🙌🏽 No babysitter needed! My favorites were the 🍖 lamb chops & rice, 🥑 avocado salad, 🍹 Sunset drink, and 🍰 honey cake! My mom tried the piña colada too. And FYI—the drinks are **non-alcoholic**, but still sooo good!
