Hidden in a side alley in Georgetown, we go multiple times a week! Share, comment, or repost to help more people discover @miloandmavgeorgetown 💙

Milo & Mav is a local woman-owned coffee shop in DC that hires & supports people & artists with disabilities.

Rae, the owner, has the biggest heart and cares deeply about creating a space where everyone feels welcome (pets & humans). The staff are always so sweet and caring and the coffee is delicious!

I visited @miloandmavgeorgetown today to pick up a few silent auction donations for @bestbuddiesvadc and was blown away by what I discovered: a dog-friendly coffee shop with a dog boutique featuring treats, toys and art made by individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Not only does Rae, the small business owner behind this amazing place, sell items made by people with IDD, she also employs them. It is a joyful, lovely place that is a little tricky to find if you aren’t looking for it. Rae also invites dog rescue groups to host adoption events on her spacious patio. Every dog that visits gets his or her photo added to the walls!

I did not expect to stay as long as I did, but some of the talented people behind Sunshine Projects Barkery came in with a fresh batch of treats and it turned into a bit of a party!

If you’re anywhere near Georgetown, please take a moment to pay them a visit. It’s a special place that more people need to experience. 🐶

Fall is in full swing in Georgetown! 🍂 For some, that means apple picking and pulling out the sweaters. For Nancy, it means one thing: time to redecorate!

If you know Nancy, you know she loves bringing a little something extra to the sidewalks of Georgetown — and this time, she stopped by one of her favorite neighborhood hidden gems, @miloandmavgeorgetown ☕️🐾

Tucked just off Wisconsin Avenue on N Street, Milo & Mav is much more than a coffee shop and dog boutique. It’s a place built around community — hosting dog adoptions, local pop-ups, meetups, art and music events, while creating meaningful opportunities for people with disabilities and supporting brands that share that mission.

Exactly the kind of neighbor we love having in Georgetown. ❤️

And speaking of community: Georgetown Dogs & Drips is back on Sunday, October 25th! 🐶☕️

Join Milo & Mav from 9–10:30 AM in their courtyard for a neighborhood gathering of Georgetown dogs and their people. Just $5 gets you a drip coffee and treats for your four-legged friend!

Come for the fall decorations, stay for the coffee and good company, and don’t miss this little Georgetown gem 🍂
