Looking for a new restaurant in Chicago's Little Italy neighborhood? MiMi's Kitchen on Taylor Street is serving up Southern-inspired comfort food with a creative twist.

The menu has a little something for everyone. From seafood appetizers and buffalo chicken rolls to creamy pasta dishes and hearty entrees. There's definitely no shortage of options.

We also tried a refreshing peach smoothie and a beautiful lobster pasta dish. The presentation was impressive and the creamy pasta was delicious enough to stand on its own.

What I especially appreciate is that MiMi's is a locally owned Chicago restaurant that has grown from its original carryout concept into a welcoming neighborhood dining spot.

Whether you're planning a casual lunch with friends or exploring restaurants near University Village and Little Italy, this is another Chicago small business worth knowing about.

At Mimi’s Craft Kitchen, I was looking for comfort food. The Marry Me lobster and shrimp pasta was rich, creamy, and exactly what I needed to cope with no fries. This was also my first time trying crack corn and I could NOT stop eating it. 😍

If you’re looking for comfort food in Chicago, soul food-inspired dishes, or a spot on the west side of town for happy hour drinks this is the place!

MiMi’s really lived up to the hype 👀 And y’all, I got to try the NEW fried lobster tail Marry Me Pasta before it officially hits the menu Tuesday! That was easily the highlight for me 😮‍💨

Chicago foodies, put this one on your must try list! 👀🔥

I finally made it to MiMi’s Craft Kitchen in Chicago’s Little Italy, and there was SO much on this menu I wanted to try!

🦪 We started with an oyster flight, and every flavor HIT.
🌮 The jerk tacos were packed with flavor.
🌽 That Krack Korn definitely deserves the hype.
🍖 The lamb chops were cooked perfectly with the BEST sticky, sweet + savory sauce.
🍣 And the stuffed salmon with creamy pasta?! 🤤

MiMi’s is serving up a mix of Chicago soul food, seafood, pasta and comfort food, and this is a good one to save for your next Chicago date night, girls’ night or foodie outing.
