Sitting back and reflecting on the wins and failures of the past seven years, I can boldly say—God was truly in the story. School passed through me, and I didn’t just pass through FUTMinna. Balancing entrepreneurship with academics wasn’t easy, but I’m grateful I began that journey when I did.

I remember how timid and shy I once was—I couldn’t even speak to my fellow gender. Holding a mic felt like terror, with my hands shaking uncontrollably as I tried to dodge every responsibility. But you’d better believe you’d want to meet the new me 💯🔥. Don’t play!

To everyone who has helped me along this journey of growth—God bless you richly. To the platforms that were intentional about Dorcas Omada Ajefu, I love you 💯🫶.

Here’s to lessons learned and opportunities well used. To intentional friendships, productive networks, and inspiring coaches—I love y’all 💯🫶.

Reflecting on my experiences at the #IMC23
Swipe <<<

I remember reading @johncmaxwell books growing up - Leadership 101, How Successful People Lead, Developing the Leaders Around You, Everyone Communicates Few Connects, The 360 Degree Leader, Developing the Leader Within You and The Power of Your Leadership, to mention a few.
He has mentored me in Leadership, Communication and Interpersonal relationship from afar with his books.

In 2015 after I moved to the States, I joined the Maxwell Leadership Team called the John Maxwell Team (JMT) at that time. My goal was to grow and evolve. Life and graduate school interrupted my journey with the Maxwell Leadership Team but I stayed connected with team via social media.

Last year I made an intentional decision to plug myself back with my MLT family.

Over the years, the principles John has taught me from his books have shaped me and by extension my team @mind_shift_initiative.

It gets better and clearer by the day.

It can only keep getting better here on out.

Thank you John for your investment in me. It was great meeting you in person.

I met @roddygalbraith in the hallway, introduced myself and he said to me ‘you should be on stage time’. Well, you have planted a seed and I’m watering it. Thank you for the investment in me.

It felt like @valorieburton was literally speaking to me. The personal experiences she shared resonated with me and I just connected with her message. Really appreciate you coach.

@1chrisrobinson I am learning a little doing a little. I look forward to our sessions.
Thank you so much for your investment in me.

@jmarkcole I have jumped on mentorship to ensure accountability for my growth knowing ‘Growth without accountability will not happen’ - Mark Cole Thank you for your investment in me.

Back to work!

Day 1 of The International Maxwell Conference #IMC23 by the John C. Maxwell

Personal Growth Day

A lot to unpack from personal growth day at the #IMC23.

Had the pleasure of meeting and connecting with great leaders and learning about how they are leading the world with influence.

Looking forward to the remaining days of the conference!

I call it the leadership baptism!

Whatever season you are in don’t despise the lessons but soak them in. It’s the validation of a successful completion of that season and a preparation for the next.

It all begins with the right mindset!

Sometimes it’s the attitude, sometimes the gratitude and perhaps for some it is both.

We begin to see a difference when we embrace the right attitude and gratitude.

I had a conversation with a friend about taking some bold steps to achieve his desired results. My friend took these bold steps and the results followed. No one said it will ever be easy but a timeless truth is that results speak about the work. We’ve got to live out what we set our minds on to have results.
