MISTY GREEN: The title character pissed me off to no end. And that was the point.

It sucks watching an extremely talented person fuck up. But that what makes this good.

And yes, this stacked cast delivers and some, but this is really a showcase for Rosalind Elezar who I hope is WORKING after this.

I have more thoughts on this week's @filmblerds.

@mindfirexl will have some more of the Q&A up soon! (Look for it on The Film Blerds socials and YouTube channel).

Looking back on filming @wegfilm where it all stared with this amazing team of people 🙏

We had to be inventive to get some shots

@wrk_media kept the camera steady in the trunk for a long tracking shot

@the_alexemanuel and @catherineblades had such great chemistry as father and daughter, really bringing so much life to every scene together

@catherineblades also has photography skills, stealing this photograph during a scene with a Polaroid

There was a lot of running during the shoot so I took every chance I had to lay down and relax, especially during drone shots

@the_alexemanuel pre-take locking in with the steely gaze

Speaking of gazes…

@mikeytuesday and my co-director @mindfirexl kept that canoe steady so @wrk_media could get the right shot of the shoreline

Not tons of bts video since we were such a small crew, but capturing this small setup to an action beat will always be something I’m glad I captured

You can watch it today on @tubi or you can rent or buy it on @primevideo or @appletv

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? 🎬🎥

In the summer of 2016 we started shootings my film @wegfilm I had never directed a feature, never worked with any of the crew before and never collaborated with most of the cast. We had to rework the schedule on day 1, shoot a late night on day 2 and be creative without sound on day 3, but man did we find something over those 3 days. 10 years later, I’ve directed 4 features with sights on a 5th, this crew has become my most trusted collaborators, this cast has all flourished in their own careers and we have all found our own successes together and apart. So what will the next 10 years bring? I can’t wait to find out! 🙂
