Your life changes when you stop giving your time to people who have no plans for theirs. Stay away from people who are constantly negative, always complaining, always making excuses, and completely comfortable with being stuck. You can have all the ambition in the world, but if the people around you are going nowhere, eventually you’ll start moving at their pace.

Be careful with people who have made failure, laziness, bitterness, and negativity a lifestyle. Their mindset is contagious. What you spend your time around eventually becomes what you tolerate, and what you tolerate eventually becomes your standard.

You don’t need to save people who don’t want to save themselves. You don’t need to stay loyal to people who keep pulling you backwards. And you definitely don’t need to feel guilty for leaving an environment that is making you smaller.

Some people aren’t meant to be taken with you. Leave them where they are and keep moving.
