Becca & Jackson | A proposal in the heart of Birmingham 🤍

What an honor it was to capture this beautiful moment for two of the sweetest people. With Birmingham’s skyline stretching across the horizon at sunset, The Club was the perfect setting to celebrate the beginning of their next chapter!

Becca and Jackson were so kind and genuine, and getting to witness the love and joy from their sweet families made the evening even more special. Being trusted with these sweet moments will never stop feeling surreal! 🕊️

Rounding out a full summer with Gooz in town was such a gift! The Lord is kind to provide dear friends in each place and season. A phone just cantttt replace presence (especially since I am very bad at my phone. Thank you friends for loving me anyway). And I am very grateful for weekends like these this summer where people and places crossover!

It’s been a full summer all around. Now bring on FALL 🍂🍁🍃

This crew has been a balm for my soul on 2 continents! These gals served in South Africa 🇿🇦 with us, encouraging us with their presence and a retreat for our leaders.

Today, they brought us dinner and laughter in the USA 🇺🇸!

So thankful for these friends and how God brought us all together.

Did you know art has healing properties?

Art can be healing in many ways. It offers a way to express emotions that may be hard to put into words, helping people process difficult feelings like grief, anxiety, or trauma.

The act of creating art can be meditative and calming, allowing for a sense of control and personal expression.

For some, viewing art can also be therapeutic, providing a sense of connection or comfort by seeing their own emotions reflected in someone else's work.

Additionally, art can serve as a tool for self-discovery, offering new perspectives or ways to reframe one's experiences. It's a form of communication that bypasses the logical mind and speaks directly to the heart.

This is why art is such a helpful tool in our ministry strategy. In the hard situations of South African life, art brings hope and healing!

📸 Our Healing Through Art group in Manenberg (+ our @shadesmtn team that visited us in Oct 2024). On this particular day, we did process art with many layers of reflection questions, scripture, and prayers for our community, Manenberg. Then we painted doves on top, packaged them beautifully, and used them as a conversation prompt when prayer walking the community.
