Happy, happy birthday @laura_maxwell12!
I am incredibly blessed to have a million memories with you over the past almost 30 years! The amount of people who love you is a true testament to the amazing woman you are—an incredible wife, mother, friend, educator, and community leader.

Your strength, warmth, and heart make the world better just by being in it. Words cannot adequately express how grateful I am for every laugh, adventure, and life moment we’ve shared! I love you dearly!💗

A HUGE thank you to all the people who supported Red Head Earthworks in 2024! It was a big year, leaving a great career in education and beginning this journey of healing and creativity. I love seeing photos of how you have styled or are using your purchases and gifts and had to share a few!

Such a beautiful place; but waking up to what sounded like man eating monsters was terrifying!!! It turns out they were just howler monkeys, but 😳🫣

...And the wait is finally over!! We have a winner....🏆

The Grand Prize winner of Hamanasi’s Oceans Month Photo Contest is Mindy Burks!!🎉👏

Mindy's photo of a flamingo tongue sea snail elicited strong reactions by our judges. One judge described this winning photo by saying "It brings strange emotions, a feeling of sadness, beauty, and precious carefulness to the viewer. Beyond feeling, the composition utilizes symmetry and an almost unnoticeable S curve to make the viewer run its eyes up the image and take in each detail.”

Mindy explained that this photo displays two of her favorite things on the reef; purple sea fans and Flamingo Snails. Each Flamingo Snail is unique in its art deco shell design. She stated that this photograph was taken on a patch reef 14 miles SE of Hopkins, Belize.

Congratulations, Mindy! You truly take spectacular underwater photos. We hope that you will enjoy your free stay at Hamanasi! 🤗
