19 letters. 1 word. 1 diagnosis that changed my life forever.

Osteochondromatosis.

A rare condition I was born with. For a long time, it was simply something I had to live with. It shaped my body, challenged my mindset, and influenced the way I viewed physical limitations.

Something I was scared to open up about after being made fun of growing up. But it has played a huge role in shaping the person I am today.

It changed the way I approach training.
It changed the way I define strength.
And most importantly, it changed the way I coach.

Because when you’ve experienced physical challenges yourself, you understand that every athlete who walks through your door has their own story, their own obstacles, and their own potential.

Not every athlete moves the same.
Not every athlete develops the same.
And not every athlete needs the same approach.

My job is to recognize that, meet each athlete where they are, and help them become the strongest version of themselves — physically and mentally.

My condition is part of my story, but it doesn’t define the limits of what I can accomplish or what I can help others accomplish.

This is just one piece of my story. And I’m ready to share more.

🇧🇸 WARWICK PARADISE ISLAND — RESORT REVIEW 🌴

A little birthday getaway in the Bahamas! 🇧🇸🥂

We stayed at Warwick Paradise Island, an adults-only resort in Nassau, and after experiencing the property, here’s my honest breakdown.

Final score: 8.1/10 ⭐️

🌴 Resort Layout — 8.5/10
One thing to know going in: this is a bayside resort, not a traditional beachfront property. My favorite part was the beautiful pier at the end of the property, where I even got to do some fishing! 🎣 Definitely a unique feature that made the stay a little different.

🌊 Beach & Water — 8.3/10
The beach itself was on the smaller side, but the water was relatively clear, and being able to see fish swimming around was a fun bonus. Not the biggest beach setup, but still a nice spot to relax and enjoy that tropical scenery.

🏨 Rooms — 7.5/10
Decent rooms with a pretty typical resort layout. Nothing too crazy, and unfortunately, our room didn’t have a balcony. They were also doing work on some of the balcony rooms during our stay, so there was a little room for improvement here.

🍹 Food & Drinks — 7.0/10
The buffet had a solid spread with plenty of variety, and the food and drinks overall were pretty good. The biggest downside? Limited dinner options at night. Only one à la carte restaurant was typically open per evening, and on my birthday, none were open — so we ended up having to leave the resort for dinner. Definitely something to consider when booking!

🤝 Service — 9.0/10
Easily one of the highlights of the stay. The staff were incredibly attentive, sweet, and accommodating. The bartenders were some of the nicest people I’ve met, and they remembered your drink, which always makes the experience that much better! 🍸

Sometimes you don’t need anything extravagant — just a few days in paradise! 🌴☀️

Would I consider staying here again? Possibly! 🇧🇸

🇵🇭 THE LIND BORACAY — RESORT REVIEW 🌴

Next stop on the Philippines adventure: Boracay. 🇵🇭

After a cancelled flight in Palawan forced us to arrive a day late, we had less time than expected at @thelindboracay … but we definitely made the most of it.

Final score: 9.3/10 ⭐️

🏝️ The Beach — 9.5/10
The white sand and crystal-clear, calm water were incredible. Soft sand, beautiful views, and a private area for resort guests to relax made this one of the highlights of the stay.

🏊‍♂️ The Resort — 10/10
The layout was unique and the entire property had a beautiful, modern feel. But the rooftop infinity pool overlooking the beach was easily my favorite part. 🔥

🌊 The Room — 8.5/10
Modern, clean and comfortable, with a balcony and ocean view. Exactly what you want waking up on a tropical island.

🍳 Food — 8.5/10
The breakfast buffet had a ton of options and the lunches/dinners were solid as well. Resort pricing was reasonable, although going off-property would definitely have been cheaper. We just didn’t have enough time to explore as much as we wanted.

🤝 Service — 9.5/10
This was another level. Towels and water brought directly to you at the beach and pool, attentive service at meals, and staff who were always responsive. It really gave the entire stay that luxury resort experience.

Overall, The Lind was a different level of luxury compared to some of our other stays and trips.

Beautiful property.
Amazing beach.
Incredible water.
Top-tier service.

We only got a taste of what Boracay had to offer, but based on this stay…

I’d go back in a heartbeat. 🇵🇭🌴

🇵🇭 SEDA LIO + EL NIDO — PART 2 | FINAL REVIEW 🇵🇭

After spending a few days here, I landed at an 8.9/10 for Seda Lio across amenities, location, service & the overall experience.

And honestly… I had a really good time. 🌴

El Nido is definitely one of the more remote destinations in Palawan, which comes with its pros and cons.

🍹 The pros: You get that more secluded island feel, incredible scenery, amazing tours, and a slower pace. Plus, Seda Lio is just a short walk from a small local town where you can grab food, drinks, snacks & anything else you need — and at those Filipino prices 🇵🇭😂

❤️ The service: Probably one of my favorite parts of the stay. The hospitality was next level. The staff were constantly greeting us with a smile, checking in, and making sure we had everything we needed. That genuine Filipino hospitality definitely showed.

🏊‍♂️ The resort: The pool area was never overcrowded during our stay, even with us being there during the off-season. My only real addition? Give me a jacuzzi! 😂 There was definitely room for one.

And after doing a ton of research before booking this trip, I can confidently say I understand why Seda Lio stood out to me originally. After walking past and seeing some of the other properties around El Nido, I felt like Seda did a really good job from A → Z while still keeping the pricing relatively reasonable for a resort of this caliber.

📍 My recommendation for El Nido:
I’d say 3–4 nights is plenty for most travelers. The island tours are incredible and absolutely worth doing, but outside of those, there isn’t a ton to keep you busy.

For us, the sweet spot was basically:
🌊 Explore → 🍹 Relax → 🍜 Eat → 🏊‍♂️ Resort → Repeat.

Would I come back to El Nido? Yes. Would I stay at Seda Lio again? Absolutely. 🇵🇭

🇵🇭 SEDA LIO RESORT — EL NIDO, PALAWAN 🇵🇭

One of the stops from our Philippines adventure 🇵🇭🌴

After spending some time in El Nido, here’s my honest take on @sedalioresort :

✈️ Location: 10/10 — literally ~5 minutes from the airport by golf cart. Extremely convenient… especially when the rain decided to keep us in El Nido an extra day 😂🌧️

🏨 Rooms: Clean, modern, spacious & comfortable with a solid view of the grounds.

🏊‍♂️ Resort: The double-decker infinity pool was definitely a highlight. The outdoor lounge/bar, pool table, cornhole & overall atmosphere made it an easy place to relax.

🏝️ Location: The beach is right there, and it’s about a 5-minute walk to the local restaurants, bars & convenience stores. And when I say “Filipino priced”… I mean WAY cheaper than resort prices 😂🇵🇭

🏋️ Gym: Nothing crazy, but had everything you’d expect for a hotel gym — dumbbells, machines & cardio equipment.

🍳 Breakfast: Included with our stay and honestly one of the better hotel breakfasts I’ve had. Buffet + à la carte options, fresh fruit, pastries, and Filipino favorites like champorado & arroz caldo.

Overall: Seda Lio was a great combination of convenience, comfort & a relaxing resort atmosphere. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in El Nido that’s close to the airport but still gives you that full resort experience, this is definitely one to consider.

Would I stay here again? Absolutely. 🇵🇭

Full Recovery & Mobility Day with Butler WBB @des.macharia_ 🏀

Here’s a little recap of Destiny’s session with us before she left for her Sophmore campaign at her new school.

A lot of athletes will skip days like this, saying they’re “wasting time” or that should be hitting the weights instead or that the time could be used differently. We believe the recovery days are just as important as the training days. It keeps us healthy, mobile & reduces susceptibility to injury.

That is why Destiny is playing at the top level in her sport collegiately. She takes care of her body. She goes the extra mile with every advantage she can get. She trains hard, and then recovers harder 💯
