F1 WRC Porsche Ferrari Mclaren Ford GT mania & car model builder for the hobby

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

After many hours of work and countless individual parts, I finally completed the dashboard of my 1:3 scale McLaren MP4/4 Honda. 🏁

Every detail has been recreated as accurately as possible to capture the look and spirit of the legendary Formula 1 car driven by Ayrton Senna. Another major milestone on the journey toward completing this project.

Step by step, the model is coming together. There’s still more to come—stay tuned! 🔥

A tribute to the legendary engine of the McLaren MP4/4 Honda.

The entire object was digitally reconstructed through reverse engineering and subsequently manufactured using 3D printing. Every contour, every proportion is based on a precise full-scale 1:1 technical replication of the original.

Most components have been produced and assembled for test fitting. Still in its raw state — yet its scale and mechanical presence are already clearly tangible.

Next comes the fabrication of the exhaust manifolds and the turbochargers.
This will be followed by spray filler application to achieve a flawless surface, and then a multi-layer paint process. Screws, lines, and connection elements will be added to authentically capture the complex technical aesthetics of the turbo era.

Digital reconstruction meets analog refinement.
Motorsport history reinterpreted.

It is done! R390GT1 street version. Even though Tamiya didn't make the body kit the real road legal car has here is my version. Sadly I lost the left side mirror and roof scoop but still looks good to me. Racing white came out to more of a off white but made it work.

This was going to be an easy skill level 3 build as a break from scratch building. Level 3? Maybe try Level 9? I was able to find the original Revell parts to motorize it, turns out to be 3 extra gears, plus the motor and C battery case. Every blade section was thinned to prevent any rubbing, it took ages. It is painted with Vallejo Metal Color Acrylic from the aircraft set, really awesome paint! The gearing took much work to get just the right amount of play, now it spins easily.

Progress on revells 1:24 scale Benetton b194, these decals are the worst decals I have ever used on a car, they are very weak and wrinkle and create bubbles very easily as seen on the body, but from the distance they look good, I think the main reason for this is because it is quite an old kit but besides that they should not be like this😂 #benetton #benettonb194 #michaelschumacher #schumacher #number5 #poweredbyford #bitburger #technogym #elf #thegoat #theog #scalemodels #modelcars #modelcarsofinstagram #modelmaking
