1. @okenoakland - elevated east asian fusion spot with nice interior, standouts were the jajang bolognese and genmaicha tiramisu. a bit pricey, but perfect for date night or a special occasion.
2. @misterjius - second time back at this one michelin star spot focusing on chinese cuisine. got the tasting menu, highlights were the milk scallion bread and peking duck.
3. @hed_eleven - first time doing a tasting menu for thai cuisine. loved the creativity and bold flavors with each dish! presentation was also lovely with great vibes. mango sticky rice dessert was unforgettable.
4. @truongthanhrestaurant - our go-to vietnamese spot in milpitas, loved every dish here. favorites were the mi thai and banh canh cua noodle dishes
5. @ricejunky.usa - love this takeout only spot for fresh made kimbap, all under $10!
6. @miannorcal - new milpitas location has fresh handmade buns and dumplings! also love their beef noodle soup
7. @trestle_sf - such a good deal for tasting menu in sf with good portions and quality
8. @saltedcrumbbakery - finally got to eat some salt bread and loved every single bite of all the fun flavors. favorites were hot dog with cheese, garlic, guava cream.
9. friend’s birthday home cafe ft. so many fun drinks and snacks. how cute is the coconut cloud matcha drink!
10. @eatmazra - one of my favorite spots in the peninsula @southie_alameda - vibes are 10/10 at this brewery with amazing sandwiches
@mokkoji.milpitas - yummy shabu shabu but a bit pricey
Taiwan Porridge - one of my family’s go to comfort meals since childhood. must get their minced garlic pork to go with their unlimited porridge

@eatwithnora invited us to spend the evening on the water with @boatsausalito to celebrate her birthday. Easy way to get out onto the water without too much effort and unique way to explore the area. Thankful Oakley did not want to say hi to the sea otters that swam by the boat. 🤪

I would probably go with a different captain tho…ours kept getting seawater on the cake…

April 2025 - Big Sur, California

A lot could’ve gotten in the way of this trip from being sick all the way to a landslide but I’m really glad we made it happen.

One year in the making cause this campsite is stupid hard to book (thank u @paulinanas) and well worth the 2 hour detour through a military base and touge lmao. But on the bright side, the landslide made it super peaceful since no one was really driving by.

Here’s a few of my favorite pics from the weekend and some memorable moments:
Making dinner next to the ocean at sunset,
falling asleep to the sound of waves and raccoons scavenging,
waking up at 3am cause the moon was so bright,
scenic hikes with views of our campsite on a cliff.

Lolli turns 8 today and is officially a senior! 🥳🥹

This year she went camping and boating for the first time on Lake McClure, went paddle boarding three times, and chased ducks/geese in Lake Tahoe and Lake Natoma. She visited the HoneyBook office five times, and the Myovant office once. To her disappointment she only went to Fort Funston one time.

Between all her frisbee and squirrel chasing, you can find her wherever the food is.
